15382938 No.15382938 [Reply] [Original] [4plebs] [archived.moe]

My wife has just informed me we're having a Son. Our deal was that if we had a Son, I would get to name him. IF we had a daughter, she could have the name.

Now I need a badass /tg/ related name that's not over the top and won't get him his ass kicked at school - but would get double thumbs up from people who are into /tg/ related things.

Start giving me some names!

Pic related. Totally me blowin' my top.

Jesus Christ, man. Your son is going to be a human being. Give him a name yourself, and an appropriate one, not some stupid 4chan 'decide it' bullshit.

This is like being a high school football coach and naming your son fucking 'Sportmaster'. Who even knows if he's going to be into /tg/ things? Who knows if he's going to be picked on for a name or not?

>This. Paul Atreides would make great first and second names.
Thirded. Paul is a perfectly valid first name. Then there's the second name, connected to Greek mythology (Atreides were the descendants of hero Atreus). Then when you see them both, it's a Dune reference. A-feint-within-a-feint.

It's non-cheesy, classical and nerdy. Exactly what you're looking for.

Jr.fag here, it's not that bad. it's actually kind of awesome - I have an AARP card and a handicapped tag in my car, and my name on my driver's license matches the name on both of them. Super emergency tech enabled.

I vote for Urist, since dwarves are the shiznat.

You should name your children after who you want them to eventually become, so naming your son Kharne is a bad idea, unless you want a merciless murder machine. No, there are two options.

Theodore Roosevelt [Insert Last Name here]
Victor Doom [Insert Last Name here]

It only really questions whether you want the most badass son of America ever, or the world's leading super-villain.

Take someone who you respect, OP, and name him after them.

But other than that, assuming you're an anglophone, William is a good, strong name. William the Conqueror, William the Silent, William Wallace, William the Lion... a lot of my favorite historical figures come by that name.

Then there's Charles, from the germanic word for a free man. Good examples of 'Charlies' would be Charlemagne, an endless number of French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, English and German monarchs, Carl Gustaf Mannerheim, Charlie Chaplin, Charles Dickens, Charles de Gaulle, Charles Darwin... generic, maybe, but still a name with great bearers throughout history.

Henry is a good strong name.

Or go with Gustaf.
Another great name would be El Cid, of course that's a title, so you could just go with Cid. Then it'd be a normal name spelled wrong.

id probably give my son a dwarven name or something of that nature. but his middle name will be my first, all men in my family follows that tradition

>> No.15388074

I am Aubrey, son of Aubrey, son of Aubrey, (son of David), son of Aubrey, son of Aubrey.

There's a reason I go by my middle name.
Having the same name as your father will be an administrative nightmare, and I recommend avoiding it.

Possible awesome middle names:
Sebastian
Vladimir
Gustav
Jayne
Manfred

Oh God, people will pick up that he's named after a pink, coward dog, while the others will pick up that a sad newfag did it on a stupid bet

And then his second name is Wolf. FUCK
