I'm a big fan of the 40k artwork in some of the source books, what books would you recommend to satisfy an art-o-phile such as myself?
obviously you don't know what good artwork is
>>14578518good/bad artwork is subjective, so unless you have something constructive to add, please fuck off.
>>14578539u mad? yeah, u mad
>40k>artone of these things is not like the other
>>14578592>>14578561>>14578539Stop that, this is /tg/ not /b/Xenology had some good alien related artwork, infact your best bet is the background info books: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Category:Background_Books
>>14578507The RPG books vary in art quality. Some is beautiful. Some is merely passable. Your best bet is to lurk /tg/ and obtain images ripped from their digital releases. Such as this.
all the official books contain relevant arts, and !!subjectively!! they are kinda cool.creatures anathema has pics of big ugly monsters, radicals handbook heretics, etc.
>>14578633>Stop that, this is /tg/ not /b/>implying there's much of a difference
Let me cherry pick some pieces to post.

>>14578762Can you guess where his manipulator mechadendrite is heading?
>>14578948is it me or does she look pregnant?
>>14578982Her shirt just looks weird to me.

>yfw You will never be a member of a Rogue Trader's retinue.
I like Adam Smith´s older work better, but it´s still got some charm to it.Karl Kopinski is still the greatest IMO
>>14579028I still can't get over how the iron sights on the bolter completely block the scope's vision.
Some of Adam Smith´s older work. Much, much better IMO. Note that the coloration of this is not in the original artwork, but has been added later by anon
I can't see if it´s signed, but I´m pretty certain it´s Karl Kopinski. Just awesome
John Blanche, this one. Not sure if he still does artwork for GW, but some of the oldest 40K artwork is by him
>>14579085I think he does, yes. Not seen anything particularly recent work, mind you.
>>14579068I love the guy on the left>guys, GUYS! I can't see a god damn thing under this hood!.
Karl Kopinski again
>>14579085His caffeinated vomit-art still graces the pages of GW's codices and rulebooks, yes.

>>14579232Jesus christ, keep those candles away from that book. What retard techpriest gave him those things instead of a lamp pack or something.
>>14579250Those are sacred candles. They keep away the daemons.
>>14579279Well, at least put them on a candelabra or something, rather than letting Captain Booknaught over there wave them around like a spastic.
>>14579279Just so. Behold, the fate of those who rely upon simple lumen orbs.
No prize for guessing what the caption for this one is.
>>14579346Hey guys, did you know there was a window behind this curtain?
