/tg/ - Traditional Games

I dunno. One of my buddies I catch a ride with to D&D meets has to go to his girl friend's birthday which they're holding at a bar. I was offered an invite to go, but I don't feel like sitting around in a bar all night feeling like a third wheel. So probably nothing.

Just finished having sex. Made some fucking Korean noms. Now playing D&D 3.5e. Boyfriend is DMing.

I hear a lot of angry clicking. I think the server just crashed.

I am twenty-six minutes away from running my online AFMBE game and I haven't had more than two hours of sleep in the last 36.

Other than that, I have six geckos staring at me while I sit at my laptop on my porch, trying to finish a map in time for the game.

I have my first rpg today. cyberpunk 2020.

And by 'Studying Japanese' I mean playing flash games while resting my arm on the workbook.
One player refuses to play unless I make his character more special than everyone else, another buggers off midgame to play halo, a third is fed up with sword and sorcery and won't play with specialfaggot because specialfaggot refuses to play in settings that don't have Omnipotent Bullshit Magic with no clear explanation of how it works.
Storybro's compy is broken, might be able to get a replacement, though.

Just finished a game of Cosmic Encounter, Parasites and Visionaries managed an allied victory. I was still going to destroy the planet they landed on with the Void wild flare, but it got flare zapped, and the only guy with an unzap didn't want to keep playing since it was already almost 11 in the evening.

We need to figure out some way of making the games quicker...

This weekend, I'm going to an informal gathering of folks that will be roleplaying every other week. They had an application to fill out for consideration. At first, I thought that sounded goofy. Upon considering it further, I realized that groups don't often just materialize from nothing. Sometimes you find a few bros to game with. Sometimes gaming bros are in short supply and you fill in the group with a mixed bag of social failiure. An application didn't seem that bad after all.

Anyway, I'm hopeful. At worst, I'll go have some pizza and beer with some nerds. I could think of a lot of worse ways to waste a sunday afternoon.

Was invited to an IRC channel last week to play a D&D game with n00bs, I show up and they ban me before I can even post a "hello".

Tomorrow is my birthday. I was hoping to get a session of the 2e game going on that we've been playing, but we haven't managed to play it much lately, due to not enough people showing up. Shame.

Seconded. So long as you know the game you are playing, a GM can have a game ready. Just throw down a couple basic ideas, or key events, and wing it.

Woke up, shook off yesterdays hangover.
Did some boring stuff (shopping, cleaning and such). Did some work.
Had awesome game of Mordheim (Undead vs Sisters of Sigmar), followed by not so awesome discussion about rules (we were testing some expansions and part of rules was unclear).
Met some fellow gamers, traded some bits.
Figured out whereabouts of package I already considered lost (2 metal OOP models), it was sent to wrong adress but I can still retrieve it!
Had awesome dinner (didn't have to cook it, that's always plus) with some smalltalk (I could call it flirting, but that would probably be overestimating of my chaces)
Now falling asleep while browsing /tg/ ...

European here, so Friday is already over for me.
