I like to think I'm unbiased in this regard. Strictly speaking in real-life, we are the most intelligent species [some people would argue dolphins. fuck those people] on earth, which is the only planet that we know for sure sustains life. In addition, humans are everywhere and overpopulating everything, which shows their adaptability

despite this, we're all a bunch of autistic tards

>> No.11164220

It depends on what is considered normal for your non-human species.

I try to say this from a neutral point of view. Humans, as compared to other species, are physically not very fast. Most animals can run faster. But humans have an incredible amount of endurance. If they hit the right pace, they can run for days.

Humans are also very vicious pack hunters. When they train to work together as a team, they can take down much greater threats than one would expect. They can also be driven to incredible lengths to protect other members of their pack.

They are also very adaptable, and can easily fashion basic tools from their surroundings if they are lacking.

This isn;t star trek. The Periodic Table of Elements is exactly what the name implies, a freaking Periodic Table. It's a calculation of elements based on components and it explains their behaviors based on these structures. In short, as soon as we had the table, even before we officially found all the elements on it we knew they were there. Today, we have found them all thanks to that table. And that is it, that is the end of it. Next, finding out just what everything on that table really can do, cause man that table is just the basics.

Reasonably unlikely. If sex wasn't a rush then why would animals (and people) put so much effort into getting some? This is a fundamental evolutionary selector. All the animals that weren't bothered about fucking everything they could have died out.

Plus, it's an arms race. As soon as one individual starts wanting it a little more than everyone else then he starts spawning more offspring and before you know it everyone that isn't sex-crazed doesn't get to reproduce at all.

Exactly, the humans believe their greatest strength is in things like adaptability, individuality, and unity. but the truly adaptable species they see as insane. The truly individualist species they see as anarchic. and the truly unified species they see as totalitarian. Their strength is endurance. They hang onto bad strategies for entire lifespans, but because of how well they live through them they are slow to change. They think because SOME of their species changes EVENTUALLY, it counts as being adaptable. They think because SOME of their species is SOMETIMES quirky, it counts as valuing individualism. They think because SOME of their species FORCES the rest to cooperate, it counts as unity.

Bridled and unbridled neural pathways is a theory (yeah them theories man) that is widely accepted as an explanation to the existence of the subconscious and instincts.

Basically the more bridled pathways you have the more "solid" neural links you have, someone with say 90% would at birth know 90% of the last persons life (some % of that is taken up by the innate knowledge of how to breathe, the "repeater" that makes your heart beat, that kind of stuff)

If humanity were to loose all their links, were fucked. Unless before you were born someone or something taught you your basic bodily functions.

the most intelligent races have a lower number of bridled pathways which means alot more neurons are left over for us to learn things. As opposed to say something with a larger number is still very instinct driven. However on the other hand if we could preserve certain links, say every child ever born suddenly knows math, what new heights could humanity reach?

sorry if im not so good at explaining it, i try to make it simpler than it really is.

Thank you. Yes. "Survival of the fittest" has nothing at fucking all to do with the personal awesomeness of the individual. It's not talking about how alpha males get to bang the prom queen.

Furthermore, he could not impress potential mates with things like money, clothes, alpha-male type behaviour etc. Thus, the retard would not mate as frequently as the non retarded, thus making the alleles that make him retarded less frequent, thus eventually minimizing the number of "retards" who bear this specific disability.
That being said, when these alleles are recessive, they can be carried from generation to generation until two carries mate, which yeilds a chance of the disability manifesting in the offspring - this is how genetic diseases can be present for so long.

The idea isn't that they can't have children, or that they won't. We are structured such that procreating is one of our most important goals. Rather, I am saying that the instances of reproduction will be fewer, and thus there is a smaller chance that more people will be drooling retards with each generation, except that people that carry the recessive gene but are not subject to the disorder can reprodce at normal rates. Yes we do, but why those? why not more? what makes those special? how can we designate those cells as different to others? they were called "bridled" as to mean linked.

its all about why and names. Why does this happen, how do we name it?

Why does the body come with those features? to survive
Why doesnt it come with more?

Where are these features stored? the brain
What is so special about this area of the brain in relation to the one that stores an adults understanding of life?

Brain cells and nerves bro, brain cells and nerves.

You don't know shit about the fighting ability of a human til you get into actual combat with one. My unit was assigned to capture a small human colony during one of the border skirmishes. It was a small colony, only about 40,000 and we were expecting a garrison of around 3-5,000 at most, campaign expected to last less than a month.

3 Fucking months later we were still fighting. Those humans must be born with something missing in their head, or something extra. At one point my company was sweeping through a small hamlet in which a human squad was meant to be hiding. We caught a few in the open, opened fire, a few fell down, but one of those fuckers just kept on running. If it evolves frequently (in seperate situations) or is so advantagious that it permiates all life on a planet (legs might have evolved once, but fuck me if they didn't get popular) are the ones most likely to be seen. If it evolves frequently, but is useless (not sure what fits here) it is likly to have existed, but probably went extinct on their planet too. Yeah, that's how primitive, retarded cultures act. When a culture reaches a certain point (high levels of education and social security) it stops doing that - the population levels stabilize and we seek to achieve some sort of an equilibrium with our environments rather than mindlessly ravaging it for its resources.

Humans: mostly retarded, primitive and fail.

40 years ago (about 347698 laens in our time) they finally managed to pull a tiny capsule the size of a R'Grothi bathtub on to their Moon. We all remember the excitement thinking those slow bumbling Humans have finally decided to get their act together and belatedly join the Galactic community. During those 40 years, the Meresti despite their protracted genocidal civil war went from inventing firecrackers to colonizing alien worlds. The Tinkra Collective did it even faster going from discovery of scientific principles to Warp drive. Not too surprising for a race with precognition combined with hive intelligence.
But as for our Humans. Do you know what the Humans achieved in those 40 years?
The answer is nothing. That's right, nothing. In fact less than nothing because no longer possess the capability to visit their moon. Can you believe that? They regressed! lol.

Breeders discovered that animals could be gay long ago, when they noticed that some of their studs weren't intersted in breeding so much as they were interested in ass-ramming other studs - but whenever they tried to publicise their research they were actively silenced by various organizations who didn't like for this to become known to the public.

The ignorance persists to this day. I didn't even learn about it till a few years ago.

humans huh? The Therodians pulled the ``we come in peace`` card on them and it worked!

The Therodians of all things! You'd think the whole ``Our ships are mad out of guns`` thing would give them away!

But humans are strange like that. They expected such an advanced race would be kinder and more compassionate! Like technology and kindness were related? Like any race could survive long enough in the universe by beign nice to others!

Their planet was a right mess so the Therodians had little use for it. They enslaved the humans and made them work. They had stronger weaponry, better technology and were naturaly stronger than the humans so there was no risks of an uprising.

But then the humans started complaining. Not the usual ``live free or die`` thing no... They asked for small stuff, safer work conditions, a little less work hours, more food rations, better housing, medical care...

And before the therodians knew it, they lived together as equals! There was no war, no genocide no nothing! They just gradually took what they wanted bit by bit! Violence wasnt an option so they pleaded their way to power! Scary shit I'm telling you!

Well, our hat is luck in the sense that we were lucky to evolve, and we were lucky to have all the traits required to evolve to our current situation.

Intelligent, long-lived social mammals with very sophisticated means of communication, and a body that alomst demands we manipulate our environment to our advantage in order to survive. Despite this, we still spend tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years, just running around as nomads before our ancestors finally settled into an agricultural lifestyle from which more advanced civilizations could emerge - I believe it was an adaptation more or less forced on us by climate change?

Anyway, if even one of those things hadn't happened - if we couldn't speak, or our bodies were powerful and adaptive enough that we wouldn't need to manipulate our surroundings and invent technologies in order to survive, or if some other thing went different - even if we were as intelligent in that state as we are now, if we had no need to develop our culture and technologies we would probably never change and remain nomads to this day. Or at least change much more slowly than we have. What if we produced hundreds of offpsring per female per pregnancy? The need to take care of our offspring would almost not exist, and reciprocal altruism would be much less important - it is unlikely we would care much about things like social security or placing much value on quality over quantity.

It's interesting to think about in what other ways intelligent life could arise, but since we can't know how things we have never seen would appear, the best we can do is make guesses. We don't even have any others of intelligent species to compare ourselves to - we don't even know why we do many of the things we do because of this lack of species to compare ourselves to.
