JAM Syllabus 2022  The conducting body of IIT JAM, IIT Roorkee has released the JAM 2022 syllabus along with the admission notification at the official website. With the syllabus of JAM 2022, the candidates can make themselves aware of all the important topics and units covered in the entrance test syllabus. Thus, the JAM syllabus 2022 guides students in preparing a study timetable and making them familiar with the weightage of the topics.

Apart from the IIT JAM 2022 syllabus, candidates must also look at the exam pattern to understand other aspects of the exam including the format, marking scheme, duration and structure of the exam. The idea of the IIT JAM syllabus 2022 is to give candidates details to identify the topics which are difficult and might require more time in comparison to others. IIT JAM 2022 will be held on February 13 in computerbased mode by one of the participating institutes of JAM.

JAM Exam Pattern 2022
IIT JAM 2022 examination will be conducted in the computerbased mode for seven test subjects. I.e, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Economics, Biotechnology and Geology. The entire question paper will be divided into three sections.i.e, A, B and C.
Section A consists of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Section–B contains a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Section C contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each.
According to the exam pattern of JAM 2022, the question paper will consist of 60 questions. The maximum mark of the examination is 100.

is mathematical physics by satya prakash is best book or hk dass for jam prepration?
Hello aspirant ,
Both books are good for jam preparation.....
For theory and problems ,H.k dass book is good but it doesn't have the part of physical interpretation of the mathematics
In mathematical physics by Satya Prakash book, has classical mechanics and quantum mechanics topics additionally.....which are not there in H.K dass book
You should refer both books for jam preparation....both will help you to prepare good for jam

I am doing BScG from IGNOU and now i am confused about carrier? Could give IIT JAM in Physics and mathematics? What is way of getting into technical research like machines , electronic, semiconductor devices ?
If you have Physics as one of the subjects in your UG with Mathematics for at least 1 year then you are eligible for the IIT JAM Physics paper. If you have Mathematics as one of the subject in your UG for the 3 years then you are eligible for the IIT JAM Mathematics paper.
If you want to go for the research in Electronics and Semi Conductors, then go for the MSc Physics course. After that you can go for the research in the fields of Stat Mech or Condensed Matter Physics or Electronics or Semiconductor Physics and Material Sciences which are very close fields and can full fill your aspirations. So going for Physics will be a better choice if you want to go for research in Electronics and Semiconductors.

Can a private or distance BSc degree holder eligible for iit jam exam

Yes, you are eligible for IIT JAM exam.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates who have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 and are from the general/OBC (NCL)/EWS category match the IIT JAM eligibility criterion 2021. Candidates from the SC/ ST/ PwD categories must have obtained 50 percent aggregate marks or a 5.0 CGPA/CPI out of ten to be eligible for the exam. Aspirants who have completed their bachelor's degree or who are scheduled to complete their final year examinations in 2021 also meet the IIT JAM eligibility requirements.
