There's always good old fashioned railroading. At 4th level, they won't have too crazy of tools to get by a blocked pass or sudden military cordon or the like. There's also having them run into the mobilised groups on the road, since four dudes are likely to travel faster than a small army.

Failing that, have a partial magic item in the loot and imply the rest of the pieces are in the other castles and watch them ignore the main plot to get a shinier sword.

Ban evasion is ban evasion. As much as I'd like to have touhoufag back, and as BS the janitor's trolling of him was, he did get caught breaking a pretty cut and dry rule.

Funny note. Less than 18 hours before actual time of death, on this very board I responded to a quote from Gary talking shit about modern D&D with the words "Gary needs to shut up and die already".

No preaching intended.

The reality is this: every time we purchase a cut-price CD, or buy 3 for 2, or buy a CD from a supermarket, the band fails to recoup any money at all from this purchase. When was the last time any of us went out of our way to buy a CD at full price?

As regarding intellectual copyright, it is not given that all things that are copyrighted are in fact deserving of being copyrighted. That is an imposition that is merely assumed to be correct because of the specific idiosyncracies of business law. In the event, the morality of the "get stuff for free" situation has been determined by the consumers the moment they were in a position to exploit it. Why was the former situation considered to be "correct" morally, and the new situation "incorrect"? From a business point of view, sure, but business is hardly the arbiter of morality, quite the opposite in fact.

This post was made from an Economic Export Zone in China.
