Hey just to ask, would it hurt your feelings and derail some missions you spent a fair amount of time on if we did neither of the jobs. They were both clearly dropped into our laps by some crafty, manipulative people. I more feeling raiding a tradelane or something. But if this would be mean to you, and if you put considerable time into these leads, and just generally have cool things planned, I wouldn't even wan't to suggest we derail.

I've been working pretty intensely the past month on creating an adventure path for my group, as well as putting together some random encounters for when the party travels and rests in the wilderness. I've posted here a few times for advice along the way, and have received some pretty good ideas and feedback.

As of now, I've finished the first part of my adventure, which is intended to be a short one-night "quest" area. I also just finished writing up a large number of the random encounter ideas I've come up with, as well as statting any creatures I wanted to use/create.

In order to surprise my group, I've kept most of the ideas to myself, since they are mostly experienced gamers who "have seen everything". I'm not counting on the things that I've written being completely new, but I did want to present a twist on things they might have seen, or just create encounters that are more interesting and fun than the norm.

With that said, in the case that I eventually share all of my work, either with the group or online, I want to ensure that what I've written is easily understandable to anyone who didn't write the encounters themselves. Ideally, it would also be something that doesn't require constantly referring to stat blocks to understand the description of the encounter. That part is a lot harder, since the mechanics of each creature can be pretty influential in setting the tone.

For now, I'd be happy to hear any feedback on how easy the encounters are to interpret, or even any ideas that could be used to alter them in a way that would make them more fun. I'll be posting the encounters in the following posts.

Gif barely related.
