Anon here, a friend and I are setting up a big hobby/paint station in his basement, he's an amateur whereas I've painted for a couple decades before stepping out of it for a long while.

Wanting to decorate the wall behind our table with some color charts (which I've found) and some posters showing various painted fantasy miniatures. Is there a good source for that sort of art? I'm not looking for Fantasy/Warhammer 'art', I'm looking for posters showing finely painted figs?
Any suggestions?
When we fire up at the end of the month, project #1 is finishing his Massive Darkness base set.

has anyone read this? Is it good/worth buying?
I'm interested in it after reading the introduction and first page of rules but $10 is still a lot to drop on 50+ pages of grappling stuff.

I'm on the 6th year of running my Lankhmar campaign, everyone is human, and Idgaf about Tolkien races, and less about furfaggot/extraplanar crossbreed shittery.

You are in the wrong hobby, discussing it on the wrong board then. That should have been obvious ages ago.

I'm weary of Large sized playable races that aren't "Large".
Minotaurs in the Monster Manual are large creatures.
Minotaur Skellingtons in the Monster Manual are large creatures.
But playable Centaurs and Minotaurs and Goliaths are "medium"?
Large weapons aren't THAT op, and size penalties for dungeon crawling make up for it I feel. A larger 5' radius has its pros and cons both.

It's shit, but honestly it's nicer than the "world" map they provide in Theros.

It's not the system that makes a TTRPG fun or great. Certainly a completely trash one can impede great fun but it can't completely stop it, only make it harder.
97% of the greatness or fun value of a game is the people doing it.

The trick is to give various factional NPCs ambitions and plots, and have the PCs as the unpredictable monkeywrenches that ruin/aid/send those plots in unexpected directions. The PCs traditionally do not know enough to launch elaborate schemes in the first half of the campaign. The mastermind NPCs are too busy unfolding their schemes in a manner that wont get them exposed/killed by their rivals and enemies.

Or to look at it another way; you are going to throw two lightning bolts with an easy save against them, resulting in normal lightning bolt damage, instead of maybe throwing 1 lightning bolt with a hard to make save, that burns half the spell slots.

My fix for Multi-classing is I don't allow it.
That fixes so much you couldn't imagine it.

All of your fixes are so piffling as to make no real difference unless you are an Eldritch Knight.
You seem like a frustrated Gish player to me.

>Sleight of Hand is for small, discrete manoeuvres
Bullshit. You can juggle with SoH. You can balance a spinning plate on a stick on the end of your finger with SoH. Not my fault your Imagination stat is a 6.

I also don't think you can do a shove-escape against a creature with a longer reach than your shove distance.

>You need your players just as much as they need you,
Not if he's a good DM. Not implying he is, but if he IS a solid DM he can always find non-morons to run for.
People who believe otherwise are just the typical autis/tg/uys around here who want a tard-sitter.

>Anyone can talk to people without +100 persuasion.
Persuasion isn't for friendly gossip from the bartender or getting directions from a washwoman. Persuasion is for convincing people to do things they really don't want to.
Sometimes these are powerful people capable of doing important things for you, in a well-realized campaign.

Here's my question in return: How did you end up creating encounters for large 15th level parties and STILL have zero idea of encounter challenge?

Does a Periapt of Wound Closure have any effect on a Moon Druid's spell expenditure for healing?

Or does it only function with rest recovery?

You can be fun and interesting without being some oddball meme character.
Generally the quirkiness of your class/race combo is interesting/amusing for about half an hour.
Then you are left with something mildly idiotic and possibly not terribly effective at holding their own.

Why shouldn't you play Fezzik the Bard? Because he's big and strong and has a terrible singing voice.

So you want a magic Psionicist?
Mystic Class is an unlimited tool-chest character template for antisocial shut-ins who love nothing more about TTRPG than to theorycraft characters for games they have no group for.

And would be too awkward to show up for if one arose. And DMs would probably refuse to allow them to play, should a miracle happen and they find a game that will invite them back.

The worst part is that everyone who builds a meme wrestleroguebearian who's background is "a really cool badass dood" thinks they are making a great character for your game.

Or my personal favorite, "My wizard is this guy who's motivation for adventuring is to gain personal power."

There's a world of difference between "using object" to tie a rope to post, and using it to garotte an enemy. Any "object" you are using to restrain/bind/trip/cuff someone with becomes a weapon by default.

A pole is just a pole until you use it as a quarterstaff.
