They are on varying levels, with some familiar with basic concepts of the setting (I'd estimate his knowledge on 4.5/5 and 6 out of 10) to the the one who only recently learned on how space marines are recruited and trained.
We have a Dark Angel, a Raptor and an Imperian Fist. The group is familiar with DA lore so they laughingly call him a traitor out of character.

I dropped a lot of the upgrades but I'm keeping the powerfists because this guy's list starts to fall apart when he gets assaulted by pretty much anything.

Was able to cut out plasma pistols, carapace, hunter killers, and all sorts of stuff and threw in a leman russ

Big problem with Eldar is that they've been painted as one of the "good guys" of the setting. As such they need to be all doom and gloom. I would love for them to make a comeback exactly like the honored matres in the dune series. A large faction of their population who left the galaxy only to return in greater numbers and with forbidden tech from the age of the war in heaven. At least give them that, because the Eldar have plenty of super destructive weapons they keep locked up.

I suppose that hitting on a 4+ isn't fantastic but the alternative firing modes is why I am eying them. Any other suggestions them for the 90 pts?

Really? Terminators, Blob squad, even a regular marine squad seems like it could be threatened by this. My reasoning is that any sort of horde doesn't typically like a Large Blast and with three Flamers on top of that they'll be hurting pretty hard. Terminators? Well the AP 2 charge would probably knock that around and even if the flamers don't pen that'd still be a good number of wounds to roll saves on, same story for Meqs.

If you really don't think so however I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise right, 25 pts for flamers on the Infantry Squads. I've never had Grenade launchers do anything for me.
