You save an old man, who turns out to be a dinosaur warlock in disguise.

He has an interesting reward for you: You may choose to alter one aspect of reality. Perhaps you choose to change a core tenant of your society, perhaps you unlock magic for the world. Or maybe just for you and your progeny, allowing your blood to carry the gift into the future.

You can choose anything really, but you can only choose one thing. (And no, you can't choose to have endless changes).
