Interesting concept. The 'feel' I got from ACKS is that death was supposed to be, not common, but not necessarily uncommon, either. Especially for their first game, though, I should probably make the assumption that these characters are beloved to them (probably grander versions of themselves) and should NOT be facing insurmountable odds.
I'll try to keep the danger of death constant while actually having the death-count as low as I can.
