A Necron Augur. Much better, honestly.

Roll 1d10 for its quality. No quirk is generated for a Necron item.

"That just happened." says Velm, in shock.
"Was that...Sigma Harmonics?" asks Sung.
"Tiny enfleshed, how diD YOU KNOW WHAT THAT WAS?" asks Ramsestron.
"Read it on your tomb wall." says Sung.
"I TRU~UST YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WERE FIGHTING?" asks Ramsestron.
"A dick." interrupts Sung.
"He called himself an Old One." says Ragebeard.
"Surprised, they should be dead." drones Thutmosis2000.
"He did mention that you had fought his people-" starts Ragebeard.
"AND WE WERE QUITE GOOD AT IT!" declares Ramsestron.
"Unfortunately, there is one left." notes Ragebeard.
"WELL THEN! WE WI~LL HAVE TO FIX THIS!" says Ramsestron excitedly.
Ramsestron begins walking toward the door.
"I CREATED SIGMA HARMONICS AS ONE OF MANY WEAPONS AGAINST THOSE YOU CALL OLD ONES!" says Ramsestron, "GIVEN YOU ALL HAVE THE MOST EXPERIENCE OF ANY ENFLESHED IN FIGHTING THEM, I SUPPOSE IT IS TIME YOU LEARNED OF MY MOST ANCIENT ART!"

The Brotherhood is ecstatic. Thutmosis2000 pops away back to their tombship, and Ramsestron follows the Brotherhood as they head back to the Kirov and drive it to the deathly silent portal bays of Ramsestron's Tombship, the Ihey-qed. Sending paltry orders to the rest of the Squats to generaly hold position, the Brotherhood walk past legions of silent undying soldiers.

"THUTMOSIS2000, MY SEMI-LOYAL CRYPTEK! SET A COURSE FOR TRIARCH FORGE!"

Within the central ring, a portal begins to open. But this isn't a warp portal. The Aeonic Forge is acting as an incredibly large Dolmen Gate. Out of the portal floats a Cairn-class Tombship, followed by a few Scythes, Jackals, and Dirges.

As everyone heads to battle stations, Uzgob turns to the kill team.
"Oi...dun fink we need ta worry, boss!" says Uzgob, "Oi fink we'ze gunna be okay!"

On the bridge, suddenly the controls sink into the ground. Out of the floor emerges new controls. Every terminal on the bridge starts glowing green. The Looted Krooza begins shuddering.
"Wut da zog iz goin' on?!" exclaims Grakgut.
Kroz checks the Krooza systems, and notes no outside interference - it's all Krooza.
"Oi knew it!" yells Uzgob excitedly, "KROZA WUZ WAITIN' FER DAT KANNON!"
"Wot's Krooza doin'?" asks Wazgor.
"Let'z go den!" exclaims Grakgut.
"Awroight boss, da biggest fight iz yers ta take!" says Uzgob, "SHOW'EM WHY WE"Z A BATTLE BAHGE!"

>well, not really. I believe the author may have been a little too overzealous with the Cairn.

My group had a Tyrant Cruiser called the Windu's Saber, and a Dauntless Light Cruiser called the Paradigm.

For a homie, I built him a fleet.

Stun Gun - Meritech Raider, nothing but disruptor cannons, 16 speed
And We're Just The Escorts - Falchion Frigate, built as a torpedo boat
Clown Car - Defiant Light Cruiser, no weapons, boarding stuff only, 15 speed.
Super Dimension Fortress - The Tyrant Cruiser flagship, technically built by the both of us, built for roleplay and not straight-up combat.

Here is the root of the problem. The Rogue Trader did not understand 40k. And he made no attempt to learn. Everyone else did. I even gave them the codexes and books on request.

For the record, I played BFG, and I knew it would be quite a hard encounter. Still, they barely came out of it by the time they forced phaseout.

Here's the best part. They could have easily taken down the Scythe, if they boosted Macrobattery BS. But the Rogue Trader forced the Explorator to boost the LANCE, to fish for crits that did really nothing, because he was insistent the lance would win the battle. They could see the lance wasn't doing anything, but the Rogue Trader was insistent. Their Tyrant Cruiser being brought down to 15/70 hull is his fault entirely.

You're playing agains't Chaos. Technically speaking though, Eldar get FUCKED by Asteroids and Blast Markers.
But yeah, until Necrons they were the most overpowered faction. Then GW waded in and showed the whiners what a REAL cheese faction looks like.
