I don't currently have the paints to test this but would black wash look good on a reddish gold?
Currently:
>I use GW Retributor Armor,
>then GW Reikland Flesh-shade to make a reddish gold.
The Wash tints the gold red as well as darkening the details.
What if:
>Vallejo Red Gold (from the alcohol-based line),
>then a thinned down black wash.
Can anyone test this? Black was over a copper would be similar.

Ok guys, I need your help.

I'm looking to buy some cards for other modern decks and possibly something that fits into some legacy decks too.
Buying fecthes is one choice, since maybethey'll reprint them (?), but post 2019 decks are very costly and just half of the cost is given by fetchesm while the other half is whatever 4 copies of 30+ $ Mythic rares, Jaces, and similar. There are some decks in which the total cost is moslty fetchesbut they're rare.

So my idea is to buy the "Humans" package, meaning 4 Caverns/Hierarch/Canopy/AetherVial, since most tribal decks (I'm a bit of a tribalfag) seem to play these cards, altough not many Legacy decks play 4x Caverns.

Humans is a solid choice, and one could transition easily into fringe strategies for fun, like elementals, Slivers, Goblins and so on.

The point is, we know WOTC has a boner for effects on a stick and value, so one can assume that some sort of powerful Human/Merfolk/Whatever will always be printed.

But WOTC also prints lots of goodstuff with no tribal support, Like titans (Uro) and other cards which do not slot into any tribal deck.

My fear is that the format will evolve into 3+ Color goodstuff, Humans will die and the cards I'll purchase won't be used anywhere else.
Altough it seems impossible to me that they'll stop printing playable Humans.

Also, let's hope for some elves support in the future

Volkites are specifically Martian.

Terran technology was generally lesser, but there were a few enclaves like that one in the Urals that had held on to more DaoT stuff. And I was saying that the Custodes got the fanciest Terran stuff while the Astartes got mass-producible Martian equipment and not their best.

>I want to understand the relationship of Skitarii and Cult Mechanicus with the Mechanicum.
>I tend to think of the AdMech and the Mechanicum as synonims
They're sort of synonyms. When the Imperium was reformed after the Heresy, the Mechanicum was given a seat among the High Lords of Terra and renamed as one of the many Adepta. It didn't really change internally, only in its relationship to the rest of the Imperium.

We're not yet sure how the Skitarii fit into it; I suspect that in 30k they're the Mechanicum's military wing, controlled centrally, whereas the tech-thralls that FW has released are under local control. The Cybernetica was bigger back then, so many the Skitarii were less important or widespread. Secutarii seem to be similar but belong to the titan legions.

The Cult Mechanicus is simply their religion and the units that exist in 40k are probably around in 30k, but are again less important in military matters because there are so many high-quality automata to rely on.
