Is this a reasonable rule for a tabletop fantasy game? I'm asking because the game I just ran had a player who connected everything to Dragon Age because the goddess of life was named Draste and the one before that had a player constantly saying "Just like shadowrun" or "how is this any different from shadowrun?"

Nah, I love Superman. I should add that I believe that the act of striving for such a world is a good thing--but that it should never actually be attained. Conflict, both with the world and with each other, is a good thing, even if it means people wind up getting hurt. A world without conflict or problems or pain is not one I would ever wish to see come to fruition, even if it would be "pleasant" and "safe" and "comfortable".

I let my players roll to get a hint for the riddle.

I also only use riddles in games I run for my kid brother.

Funnily enough, one of the PCs in an old campaign actually did that and slowed up the game arguing with the GM why his character wouldn't go with the rest of the party even if the guy he swore his loyalty told him to.

Making a Villain who sends down monsters in a similar manner to Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. Would it be dickish of me to qualify them as constructs and thus making them immune to ability drains and such when the party sorceress is focused on using ability draining spells whenever she can, or would it be an acceptable move since they are made initially from magic clay.

Also, if a particular villain constantly challenges the party, wouldn't it make sense for them to start adapting to counter the group tactics?
