/tg/ I'm having trouble and I need YOUR help friends of justice.

I am an old 2nd ed player and a friend of mine wanted to help me get back into the hobby so he sold me his blood angels. Now this was all good. I went down to my LFGS and set up. Unfortunately I got my ass handed to me by an eldar player.

Now this wouldn't be such a bad thing but for the past week I've been the local store patsy after being violated royally and repeatedly against everyone I play again.

Can /tg/ help build a viable army list and strategy for me?

Here's my models.

Dante
Sanguinor
Librarian and honour guard
20 assault marines
10 sanguine guard
5 vanguard

Everything has Jump packs and atleast one melta gun or infernus pistol in it.

Help me /tg/ you're my only help of avoiding being laughed at by another 14 year old with Eldar.

Necrons ARE fuck powerful. They are. They are some of the most powerful things to ever walk the galaxy.

Space marines are better.

You seem to forget what a space marine is. He isn't just an augmented human.

He's the literal grand son of the most powerful being to ever walk that universe.

Their more akin to demi-gods. However. There is a drawback. There's a million of them. A million. That's fucking pitiful in a galaxy that combines trillions upon trillions of humans. Heck a hive spire can house billions.

Even though Space Marines spend 90% of their time patrolling the galaxy it's likely that 99.999999999999999% of the galaxy will ever know they exist.

Most planets will think space marines fairy tales. Entire systems and sectors will likely go without space marine intervention despite great wars and terrible raids by pirates.

Space marines are simply the last ditch effort. If all goes to fuck they turn up. Talking something like the World Engine or the black crusades. Literally something so powerful and frightening it threatens everything and then you can expect a company or two to turn up.

So yes. Space marines are perhaps the most powerful fighting force in the 40k verse. They're unmatched in battle tactics and sheer individual power crafted by a god made flesh who spent the better part of 38 thousand years constructing a race of creatures that would ultimately unite mankind and conquer the galaxy with ease.

But since his ascension they've been dwindled into a million individuals who can only make a difference in the most direst of circumstances since that is the only time they will ever be seen.

The savior of the 40k verse is the guard. They are everywhere. Fighting everything. All the time.

Pretty much this op. If you get a chance have look over at the Bolter and Chainsword. The guys there have great painting tips. Also they're pretty great if you ask them questions on how to get a certain paint scheme right.

Op's pic isn't bad for most table top quality armies to be truthful. But there's always room for improvement. Just keep cracking at it op.

That's a lot of troops. I think the other anon is right though. If your scouts are scouting up close tot he enemy they would do far better with Melta guns if you infiltrate them.

Sternguard can be fun but would recommend a drop pod for them. This will mean you can drop them on an objective and let them spit death from it.

Not so sure about your devastator squads. You may be better of with Predators to make use of that Techmarine.

At your curent list though you've got plenty of troops on the field and you should be fine with monstrous creatures. Just be aware you may have problems being outmanuevered by mech lists and mass tanks may give your devastators cause for concern.
