How do you 'steal' someone's work? Naturally, artists usually supply scaled-down scans of their work and earn money doing commissions, or selling high-res prints and CDs if they are good enough.

Sorry to hear Maid offended you. It's supposed to be comedic.

Ironclaw is a "classless" system, but you do pick a career which will have four favored skills. The book lets you just make up a career and pick any four skills if you want to. For race, there is a LARGE list to choose from, as well as rules to pick racial gifts and flaws to make new ones.

As far as "class vs race" goes, you racial gifts and flaws eats into your character creation gift and flaw limit, so someone playing, let's say, a Bear or Platypus doesn't have a point advantage over someone playing a Coyote or Rat. By picking a bear, you've simply pre-assigned that block of racial gifts to your character.

That said, yes you can use the system to pick racial skills and career skills and gifts, flaws, and traits that all overlap to make a specialized character. This is expected, encouraged, and will only give you the bonuses you built up to while leaving you weak in other areas.

The only way to really break the system is not in trying to min/max or specialize, but in trying to over-generalize and making a character that is good at nothing.
