You do realise that match-up can be done in Monsterpocalypse right?

That first image is from Monsterpocalypse though.

Great great little game that Privateer Press basically tossed under a bus.

I could see a lot of the monster models working as Angel Proxies though.

Just so you know, the giant monster vs giant robot board game thing has already been done; Pic totally related, as well as site: http://monsterpocalypse.com/

It was discontinued (FUCK YOU, PRIVATEER PRESS!!!), but you might find it somewhere...maybe. If only for inspiration.

Just a little something for everyone interested.

MonPoc was an excellent game, and it's a shame that PP isn't supporting it any more. Every faction had some viable combos and strats (although we never did find a way to abuse the fact that THE BUGGERNAUT had the Spire rule) and all of them looked pretty good. Although one of the second wave factions had really bad paint jobs.

Yeah, it was them.

It depends. Are we fighting conventional forces and other mechs, or are we fighting giant monsters?

I want to make some custom monpoc figures. Specifically a custom Evangelion mod.

Does anybody know where I can find Eva models/Angel models in the correct scale for monpoc?

The come play Monsterpocalypse instead. Game's practically been abandoned by them, shit's cheap to pick up on the secondary market.

Also it's fun as fuck.

Monsterpocalypse, god I love this game. Awesome kaiju action, good rules, easy to set up and have a match in under 2 hours. Not having to paint the mini's unless I really want to is such a relief. Always felt bad that I never got to finish painting armies in other games due to 2 jobs and a marriage taking up the majority of my time.

From the videos i've seen its rather simple and involves dice management. But seeing robots punch out eldrich horrors is cool.

I wouldn't laugh it up so hard if I were you. At least the worst we have to worry about in the North Atlantic is Sea Serpents and Kraken...

I don't have much personal play experience with them, but a friend of mine plays them a lot. From what i've been able to see, their units aren't rather offensively strong, but they do buffs and debuffs incredibly well. There's some units that are rather staples I would imagine.

As for buildings... you want 5 Towers of Corruption for your army. Yes, they're THAT good. Put them all over the map and your opponent is going to get frustrated because anywhere he sends units they can potentially be attacked by the towers and then Manufactured into own of your own. You also want Music Producer buildings because the hazard they leave will allow you to spawn Fiend agenda units from them, giving you the power to generate units out a lot further than your side of the map. Other than those... I'd say take Office Buildings, 3 Defense and can net 3 power dice from a brawl, good stuff. The rest is kind of up to you for personal preference.

Fuck yeah Sky Sentinel!

Okay, so I have a question for you since you are the only other person here that knows about MonPoc:

Now, this was my idea to start, just want to put that out there. Anyway, at my LGS we re-paint our monsters that we have doubles of in their mega forms and then print out the stats for them and replace the card with the new stats, effectively making our own mega form figures because PIP won't send us any from series 1-3. Is this wrong? We have a local Press Ganger and he is cool with it, but we haven't asked PIP about it in fear of them getting all HERP DERP NO YOU ARE A BAD PERSON DERP.

Also, I re-painted a Defender-X figure to look like Gurren Lagaan and I yell out Kamina quotes at tourneys. All the time.

>Yet none can defeat Chthulhuh but a norway ship.

That's not true, there are plenty of things that could take on Cthulhu, even if you just stick to the Lovecraftian Mythos itself.
It's just that if any of those guys are walking about the place then Earth considerably more fucked than it would have been with just Cthulhu.

Failing that, we can just build giant robots and powerslam him through the Chysler Building.

Monsterpocalypse thread!

It looks like fun, so I'm trying to get some friends interested in it. One of them's a big fan of Lovecraft, what are some good Lords of Cthul monsters?
