Just speaking from life experiences

Hey /tg/

I left about 2000 pts of Orks and Blood Angels at a friends house. It was basically where everyone kept their stuff between fights. I took a few months off gaming and just learned that another player basically took the armies. The guy who's house it is told me that the friend took them, and when I asked about it, he then said that they actually "lost" the pieces.

My question is, what would you do in this circumstance? I am not sure the armies are even there anymore, so if I went over to grab them it might not even be possible.

Any recommendations?
