Our party was investigating an attack on a temple to a sea god that was mainly staffed by mermen/maids and other ocean humanoids. I was playing a swashbuckler-type character that didn't have much in the way of charisma, but still tried to be 'dashing'.
While the party was speaking with various members of the church, my swashbuckler decided to speak directly to the high priestess, particularly by trying to woo her with his non-existent charm.
DM calls for a Diplomacy check.
Roll a 1, DM likes to have epic failures on skill checks and asks what my character was trying to do.
The temple was open to the ocean, water flowing through it. My swashbuckler decided it would be a good idea to use a nearby rowboat and approach her from the water, try to get her into the water where she would be calmer.
DM narrates how my swashbuckler slips into the rowboat and quietly rows up next to the high priestess.
She notices him and turns to face him. The swashbuckler promptly snaps his finger, points at her, winks, does that little 'snick-snick' sound, and says "How you do'in?"
The entire table had to take a break from laughing so much.
