> The game now breaks down into a 2-plot setup: the survivors holding out against the daemonette in the tunnels, while Guardsman2 runs back to town
> Guardsman1 tries to break out of combat, so-as to bring his shotgun to bear
> Assassin wades into combat with a mono-sword in one hand and a lantern in the other
> Arbiter tries to get back to her feet while drawing her sword
> Daemonette is about to finish off Arbiter...
> ... until Assassin lands a nice hit with the mono-sword, drawing her ire
> What proceeded was a deadly game of cat-and-also-cat between the Assassin/daemonette that lasted more rounds than I would have believed, with the Assassin hitting more often (despite being limited to a half action most rounds)
> Guardsman1 manages to get out of melee range while the Assassin and daemonette exchange (usually missed) blows, but his shotgun doesnt seem to be doing much to the Warp entity
> Arbiter manages to get out her sword, aiding in melee
> Fear tests take place, with varying degrees of success
> Daemonette gets tired of cat-and-also-cat, turning her attention to the Arbiter, who goes down, saved from death only by a burning a Fate point
> Assassin attempts a feint to give Guardsman1 a chance to recover Guardsman2's dropped sword without drawing an attack, which fails
> Guardsman1 draws his knife

lok mate I'm gonna type it out for you one more time. the tourneys I was going to people were filling in their minimum 2 troop slots (sometimes 3) and then spending their points on everything else, if they can't score, they can't win. so would take out their troop choices so they could only contest and then attempt to hold against the rest of their army. I'm not saying more troops= less power, I'm just saying that 5th ed rules say only troops can capture, no troops=major advantage thus I built my list to take out troops.

For one, let them deamonbomb agian. Giving them their own codex in 40k seems silly, but make it so Chaos Cults can run an army dependant on deamons.

FoC option. If you have a MoX then Xdeamons become troops. Otherwise they're elites/FA/HS (depending on the deamon). A Word Bearer leader makes all deamons troops. A Demonic icon can be used to add +1 to the roll to summon the deamon or allow you to reroll the scatter, if they're being deep struck within 24". Also, +1 Ld per deamon unit within 24" of a Demonic icon. Instability is unsavable (no inv saves either) wound per 'pip' you fail the leadership test by, so if my deamons are ld8 and they roll a 10 they loose 2 models. However they don't run. Note that this is not fearless, and doesn't bring with it the downsides of fearless.

Okay, I'm a girl and my main army consist of battle sisters, but right now I'm using chaos daemons. I have a daemon prince, 5 seekers, and 10 daemonettes. I'm not really looking to get any more, but how could I use them more strategically since they don't use weapons. I'm going up against my brother's friend who says he is so good because he only plays with space marines and would die if beaten by a girl(totally understandable)
how can my daemons win?
