So, I'm going to be running a Black Crusade game with a twist. It's going to be humans only and far from serious. Imagine Snidely Whiplash, servant of Tzeentch tying sisters of battle to railroad tracks. Basically, the players are going to be tasked with dicking up the Imperium however they can.

To 'help' them they're being given special gear depending on the god they're aligned with (with unaligned as an option as well). The gear is basically stuff right out of Paranoia. It need not necessarily be good or useful. I'm running low on ideas but to give you an idea of what we're working with:

Undivided:
A jetpack powered by fear (either you cause it for someone else or you've just failed your fear test)
Daemonless daemon weapon(you draw it and you inhabit it until someone sheaths it again. On the up side, you can still possess your wielder...)
Khorne:
Diamond Encrusted Rhino Horn Codpiece:
You can kill people with a pelvic thrust but it'll make the followers of Slaanesh swoon annoyingly when you do.

Need an opinion /tg/. We all know not to force a paladin to fall or to put players into situations that they have basically no chance of winning but how does /tg/ feel about making them do so to themselves?

The party in question is a longstanding Dark Heresy party and while getting drunk last night I came up with a Chaos plot that might very well kill or turn all of them with very little chance for redemption.

The thing is, this plan hinges on several PCs. These aren't random Alpha Legion HURR add ins either. These are trusted friends who will be offered a chance to get the thing they want most for a price that seems like a steal at the time of the offer.

If done right it'll culminate in one final moment where they are so out classed that the only options will be turn traitor or die. And before they make the choice I plan on revealing the hand that the others played in this heresy. I'm really hoping to break the one character who's never wavered from the service of the Emperor since the beginning of the game.

Also, I'm considering drawing up demonic contracts and actually having the players sign them in character, then just dropping them on the table infront of the loyalist when the time comes to tip my hand.

I love these guys, but I'm afraid I must choose Chaos

How do you get across 40k to players that insist on applying real world logic? This has become a point of annoyance a couple of times in my DH game.

Like when one of my players decided that he wanted to make a psycannon pistol. Now, just to get them places and keep their shit fixed they've had a longstanding admech NPC who went heretek after he died and they fused an AI with his brain. It's not like they're going to have issue actually getting it made. Still, the player keeps wanting to insist that "My gun is awesome, everyone should understand this."

I keep explaining that this is like taking a religion and making it better, then trying to explain this to the previous followers but he keeps not getting it. Anyone have any ideas how to accurately get across how religious belief and hyper strict dogma means, please don't take the holy relic, come up with something heretekal you want done to it, and then help the heretek magos you associate with do it.

Huh, well, so it goes, I'm sure he's gotten over it by now... (though he probably wouldn't be too happy to hear that I thought the human version was the original.)

Jesus, people. Why don't you just hand out copies of this thing on the street?

I would have started liking WH40K years earlier if I'd run across this then.
