Are Dark Eldar the scariest faction in 40K? Being captured alive by them is like being captured by Cenobites. Is there even any more sadistic race in fiction?

I'm conflicted though, because I don't like those types of games, but it looks like it's heavily themed on the Dark Eldar, that map looked like it was stylized like them. And then you get a title like "Dark Nexus."

I mean, I want GW to realize they can make more than Space Mareens vs Orks / Chaos in their games, but... why'd it have to be a moba?

They have a generic drow in space style (which isn't bad in fact just lacks originality, personally i'm ok with this) but also some cool details and references.
I mean, look at raiders or incubi.

Pretty much, Dark Eldar are Eldar before the Fall. Just they lost all their worlds and had to give up being psykers to stay hidden.
They live and behave the same way, their tech is the same if not better.
CW are just a small fraction of the Eldar that just happened to be in the middle of no where when the fall occoured and took up the eldar version of warrior-monk lifestyles to hide from Slaanesh without losing their psionics.

This is now a Dark Eldar General.

But the Dark Eldar codex was a huge overhaul. They changed them from soul stealing dominatrixes in to psychic vampire dominatrixes that is invigorated and extend their life by feeding on the pain of others. Not to mention that their fluff in general was expanded a lot compared to that pamphlet of a 3rd edition codex they had.

Dark Eldar have better armour.

Kabalite suits are exactly the same as guardian suits, and ghostplate armor is better than aspect armour. Plus Incubus suits>Scorpion/Spider/Reaper suits because Incubi are still fast as fuck in their suits.

You just don't really realise this because not many DE actually bother about wearing armor. The ones that do show their superiority.

Actually OP, I'm starting Warhammer 40k for the first time with a DE force. Frankly I don't see why they aren't more popular either- and normally I wouldn't care, but I sense a pattern Games Workshop of pandering to where the money's at.

So in 6th as far as I can tell you MUST roll for reserves starting turn 2 and it always comes in on a 3+. How does that work with webway portals? If your plan was to hold back your troops until you could put down that webway portal, and turn two you haven't gotten the portal in place yet, are you forced to cough out a talos pain engine onto your table edge if you roll a 3+?

Cause, that would suck.
