There was a writefag at one point that wrote a backstory of Cultist as an Imperium noble's daughter. Loved by all and known for being well spoken and the most pious. Well known for organizing logistics for IG troop aid and helping with local war support projects.

Then to prove a point the daemons of the warp took this shining beacon of humanity and twisted her into a mockery of her former self, essentially a court jester for the chaos gods to remind themselves of just how far they can make the human form fall by keeping her around as a dancing monkey to pray to and please them.
