Can anyone tell me what "Da Bad Moon" is? I see old Crooked Moon Face pop up all over Warhammer art, especially for goblins, but I can't find any lore about what it is.

TQ:
Will 3.0 be the last(?) edition with Death as the villain with the Gravelords release, or will it be time for Destruction?

>>>Chaos God of Manipulation, Madness, and... chaos
All four of the Gods are gids of chaos. I think it's more accurate to say Tzeentch the god of manipulation, hope and betrayal. His whole deal is promising power and knowledge to change your fate than letting you down by setting someone else on a course to interfere with you. At the very least, he's more nuanced than BLOOD AND SKULLS: the god.

HUMANS
What was once said was "Death to the False Emperor!"
However, this is in the parlance of the low gothic.
How would such a phrase be said in the High Gothic of the 30th Millennia?

You get control over a series of 5 stand alone live action or animated(can mix) episodes of a series called The Mortal Realms. The episodes need to be 40 minutes and does not have to be connected by anything other than the world.

What would your episodes be about to make it a hit with warhammer fans, normies with no knowledge of warhammer, and if possible, swing a few AoS haters.

I can see your points on light, that seems to be an overall problem with his stuff. This piece it looks good, but then some of the pillars have backlighting which doesn't match what's in front of them. However maybe I'm blind, but I don't see your point about colour. If you're talking about how flat the piece is, by colour, I'd include that with lighting, but overall that's agreeable. The overall proportions look fine, but some of the arms get fiddly here and there. The layering just needs some sharper lines to look better. The way that one Blood Warrior's being ragdolled he has some very soft leg armour when contrasted with the background. Speaking of, you're right about how cartoonish their deaths look.

However I disagree on your points on movement. In Adrian Smith's piece some ogres are charging into an enemy line, but others are just looking in an entire other direction. Either they're charging off into a random direction or the fights all around them, which would need more indication of such. In comparison the other guy's got some ogres finishing up the guys around him, but the rest look to be readying for a scrap. They're all staring off into the distance, as only those closest to the boss are doing any fighting. I can see the argument, but either both pieces would have the problem or neither.

it's not fully clear how it works
in the old world it was almost impossible for gods to manifest without breaking reality and even daemons needed the veil between the materium and immaterium to be torn further for there to be enough magic to sustain them
in the mortal realms reality itself comes from magic, daemons seem capable of existing with much less issues, mortals can simply walk to the underworld where their grand-parents souls unlive and the gods "of order" get spawned and walk freely
but the chaos gods themselves do not walk outside the realm of chaos (in a sense it would be dumb, as the chaos gods ARE the realm of chaos), they stay as a separate realm that tries to consume/engulf the others, in one instance khorne torn open a portal to personally destroy a city, but it was described as some sort of titanic exception
even slaanesh is only kept there thanks to "paradoxical" chains, it's dubious whether normally it would be capable of doing so

my headcanon is that the mortal realms are like a collapsed section of the webway of the old slann, flooded by magic which grew all over the place in the rough shape of the material realm like weed on an abandoned ruin
more like a section of realspace stranded at the outskirts of the warpspace than the opposite, the warp creating a very magical place in the material universe, but the distinction is moot anyway

the artist is fast, cheap and trying to cement his artstyle
I seem to recall he was more or less taken by blanche under his wing, so there might be internal influences at GW asking him to keep experimenting

he's certainly got vision and some of his works have already become iconic, but he can be very hit and miss
especially miss

Does anybody else think AoS has a good playerbase specifically because the autistic grogs who can't adapt to change got filtered out when Fantasy died? WHFB players tend to be absurdly bitter and hateful, 40Kids tend to be way more spergy, but AoS Chads are usually pretty cool people.

Age of Smegma has a small amount of pretty good art. Sadly a portion of that is ruined by a smegmarine photobombing it.

Stuff like possessed and warp talons have good synergies with Codex daemons since they have the daemon keyword and with possessed being an insane melee unit and warptalons helping by removing overwatch. Other than that the only other thing CSM really offers tsons/daemons is a good source of fire support.

Maelstrom is fun in games larger than 1000pts, It makes you add more ingredients to your list other than simply killing power, such as mobility and area denial/objective holding. The card system has been getting more refined over the 3 chapter approves, the ability remove up to 6 cards before the game was a massive improvement making so you don't have to bring house rules into it, while also giving the sense of playing on your toes. The new 18 card format is liked by a lot of people, but me personally i feel it has lead to a more "choose how to win" feeling. Also maelstrom can have troubles being translated on to a 4x4 so that's why its a better feel in larger games.

Eternal war has a better time scaling between sizes of games, which is a useful when you are just starting. I've haven't played much of it since Maelstrom dropped in 6th ed but it's definitely evolved with 8th ed and CA's. The missions can very between out right killing, and holding objectives at the end of the game, although with the recent CA's they have been moving much more to securing points on the map and scoring through out the game, with additional rules like increasing the value of objectives to removing during the game.
