Yeah, thought so. Hence wanting to enchant a gauntlet instead of wearing a Glove of Storing and a magic gauntlet.
>>22719665
The more errata I read, the more I come round to thinking like that... although it's pretty hard to come up with anything more stupid than the way the gauntlets work by RAW

>Opponent fielded Wulfrik, Sigvald, and the Troll King
Wat. Did he leave any special characters out of his army? Good God, have some restraint man. If you're going to take named characters then keep it to one per army, mirite?

It's not just the new army books that have this. Giant monsters for every army has been the trend for a long time. It's just being more heavily enforced. For example-

Empire Steamtank
Skaven Hellpit Abomination
Tomb Kings Necrosphynx/other one
Lizardman Stegadon
Ogre Thundertusk/Stone Horn
WoC Chaos Dragon
etc

>Even the /tg/ art, still portrays them as having crab claws and no noses.

That's because we find them cute that way. /tg/ being /d-lite/ and sharing a common user base after all.

alright just be aware that people are going to say this list a piece of shit, but every tourney I've used it in I came in no less than 3rd place.

1 sorc-145
-mark of slaanesh
-lash of submission
-jumppack
1 sorc-145
-mark of slaanesh
-lash of submission
-jumppack
10x noise marines-285
-9 sonic blasters
-1 blast master
10x noise marines-285

-1 blast master
10x noise marines-295
-sergeant
-- melta bomb, doom siren
-9 sonic blasters
14x raptors-300
-mark of slaanesh
14x raptors-300
mark of slaanesh
land raider-245
-deamonic possession
-dirge caster

put the sorcs in with the raptors and look for the troop choices, the objective is to draw all troop choices out into the open and shoot them to death with your noise marines and then assault what is left with the raptors.

2 of the noise marine squads are your firing team, most likely they will not move the entire game. put them near an objective if you can.

the 3rd squad of noise marines (the one with the sergeant) is the assault team, the land raider and doom siren will usually make sure no one wants to screw with you, while you sit on an objective.

there is a variant of this list that lets you split the 3rd squad into 2 squads of assault teams(5 men in each), but instead of the raider you take 4 rhinos, 2 for the assault teams, and the other two to block charge lanes to the noise marines.

It's a simple list once you get the swing of it.

knights man, give the banner of rage to a semi-large threating group of chaos knights.

also are you basing your army around a single god or going the chaos undecided route?

I personally think one of the best themed armies is an all nurgle army, the mark is good, the spells are good, and if don't properly can make it to CC to wreck some shit.

of course that being said I'm always going to run my Host of Sigvald army.

Khorne - happy because theres so much blood and fighting.

Tzeench - wtf not as planned, time to fire middle management for not anticipating this shit

Nurgle - Pleased because everything is going to shit and generally even more chaotic then usual

Slannesh - Keeps fapping to guro according to regular schedule

I've only ever seen the picture alone, and that was in the 7th and 8th edition books. Where has it appeared with a poem?

I'm looking to buy some metal/plastic clippers to help with assembling models. Any particular brand or style you guys recommend? The GW brand clippers at my LGS are like, $15, which I guess I could fork out for if they're worth it

3rd edition: no boxed set, all armies in one book, 'make your own' rules in the main rulebook, rules system compatible with Rogue Trader. Scary by modern standards (failed charge meaning unit takes a turn to re-organize, multiple formations for units, strength not modifying armour save, emphasis like Rogue Trader on GM'd scenario based gameplay). Pretty damn good edition overall though a bit fiddly in places.

4th edition: first boxed set starter with plastic models, high elves and mono-molecular edges spear goblins. Card game for magic, characters and magic items out of the wazoo.

5th: same system as 4th, Lizard men and bretonnians this time round in the box. Chaos gets a book entirely for special characters, their own special chaos gifts phase that was utterly unbalanced to the point of breaking the game that was already unbalanced. Dogs of war make their only army book appearance and are generally crap due to useless special characters leaders in the units. Percentage based army construction and magic items limited by amount (meaning multiple 100 point items on a single character were not unknown, White Dwarf runs a cheesiest army competition) leads to being able to make a 1000 point chaos army out of 1 character and 5 or 6 knights.

6th: Holy shit game balance edition. Slate cleaned, magic system changed to dice rather than a card game, Empire and Orcs in the boxed set, characters practically marginalized compared to the previous editions uber monsters. Ravening Hordes ends up the most balanced set of army lists ever produced for a GW game. Probably the best edition warhammer has had. 3rd edition comes in slightly behind but in front of 4th and 5th.

7th edition: dwarfs and goblins in the boxed set: daemons shit up the game balance something chronic, the rules changes mostly patches for problems that didn't exist.

8th edition: ROCKET HAMMER edition, the current one.
