Well the thing is that Elesh Norn needs a replacement in Frites and her big role was shutting down enemy offense. Right now Archon of the Triumvirate is looking good to me because it can slow things down, but the shit part is that it's only when it attacks, as opposed to ETB and when it attacks like a Titan. Captain of the Watch puts 9 damage on the board and gives you a bunch of blockers but that only goes so far to account for the opponent's creatures.

The original Phyrexia had some very strongly White ideals. The only reason they were mono-black was because they only had access to Black mana in the plane they inhabited.

So yesterday I played a couple of matches of M:TG for the first time, and enjoyed it immensely.
I particularly like the Phyrexians and would probably theme my deck around them if I played.

One thing confuses me though, most Phyrexians cards are all blacks, however some, like Elesh Norn are whites.
Why is this?
I was looking forward to running Elesh Norn but unless I made it a white/black deck it wouldn't really be feasible.

Looks decent but he'd probably only ever stall games out. People won't want to attack because talos will smack all their creatures and if he blocks you'll gain life. However, he's small enough that he may not be able to attack without dying. In the end he'll end up crushing all tokens of really dumb players, going out in a one-turn blaze of glory and life gain, or bringing the game to a halt until an opponent gets a kill spell.

We don't need to beat them all

Convincing them to join us seems to be an effective strategy too

The Retribution minis are ok, a little too shiny and PAULDRONS for me, but a thread a couple days ago got me thinking. How about a more bio-organic look like Phyrexians in MtG?

Lose the pauldrons on the mechs, add some raw musculature, everything else is porcelain white with red cloth
