Guys, just listen, okay; have my players live through the Imperium reclaiming Earth as a lost colony... wait for it... with heavy influence from Phil Sibbering's uncanon assumptions about 40k tech levels and cultural operations.

A short list of Philverse items I'll be using: standard power lasguns operate like long-range stun guns and/or defibrillators; hot shots and hellguns do that explosive boiling of tissue thing; warp drives are really fucking cool; and the AdMech do horrendous things to our digital infrastructure.

Yeah, plenty of that going on. Hundreds of years is not very rare. With larger time scales weirder stuff can happen.

Weirdest of all are space hulks, which are basically unbelievably ancient ships and conglomerations of ships that zip in and out of the warp seemingly randomly. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Hulk

I wasn't really quoting anyone, I was just explaining how I see it. I do see what you mean, but I don't really agree with you.

We're not going to get anywhere by just explaining what we like, because it won't change what the other likes. Actually that's every argument on the internet ever, but I think you know what I mean. You think they took away the interesting parts from DoW. I think they took out the redundant stuff that kept away all the fun.

The mission is on a strict time limit because there is a solar tornado five times the size of earth heading towards the derelict ship.
