I was told by my math teacher years ago that imaginary numbers are used in engineering and they explain movement of things, (like 3 pendulums swinging off of each other) or something like that, is this correct, am I just wrong, or am I getting things mixed up here

however doing social experiments for psychology is doing science as much as anything else

its kind of sad that we have enough nukes to destroy the entire world so many times over, an interesting question would be if aliens came to earth tried to take over.

the aliens are winning and are going to kill us all (just us) and then they will preserve the earth as best they can (much much much better than we ever could) and all the world leaders got together and decided to nuke the entire earth making it inhospitable rather than have aliens take it over, would you be in support of this. or would you accept defeat and move on for a superior life form to take over

one country disarms, leads influence to other countries to disarm etc, but the reason why that doesnt work is what about the chance that a country disarms but keeps a secret stash of weapons, you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket,

religeous people already have somewhere to go to teach them religeon, its called church, I believe nearly everyone not living deep in the countryside is within walking distance of one.

you can learn to be tolerant without religion, while it teaches you to be tolerant, that is not the main point of religion, in many cases religion actually tells you to be intolerant if you actually follow most scriptures, besides religion in general is incredibly inconsistent.

besides its not like people have to do biology. chemistry/physics etc past first/second year or whatever standards your countries education system has.

although a religion course wouldn't be all that bad, it depends on how it was handled, and i don't think it should ever be a compulsory course, it should be treated more like history.

(I would tell my teacher at high school to shove her fist up her ass if i failed a course because I couldn't be fucked learning every book of the bible (also its bullshit, I have read it before))
