How do I get good at drawing 3D shapes in a 3D coordinate plane? Are there any exercise sets or books I can try using to strengthen my 3D graphing skills (without using computer programs, of course)?

I thought I was getting pre-dementia in highschool but then I just realized that I was pretty farsighted when I went to the eye doctor and because the eyes compensate when you're young (& farsighted) I didn't recognize it as a refractive error. Now I just can't see shit.

If you replace "undefined" by "computation doesn't terminate" you'll see that you can't compute 0*1/0 unless you can compute 1/0

Both lambda terms and formulaes (eg in first order logic) have free/bound variables, alpha conversion and capture avoiding substitution. How do I generalise so I don't have to do the relevant work twice?

i hate homework threads as much as the next guy, but we shouldn't overreact when someone tries to post a legitimate thread about math.

Junior EE from USA

If you aren't interested in understanding the physics and mathematics and are going into engineering, CHANGE! All your classmates will all be sliding through school, and if you actually have a passion for understanding the material you will easily make grades each semester. After a 1.8 GPA fall semester freshman year, got my shit together, and I love how I'm feeling now. Seriously, no better feeling than getting a 4.0.

10 pages the solar system? 1 page per planet, 1 page on the sun, 1 page on kuiper belt and ort cloud.

fuck this shit writes itself. all you need is Cosmos playing on your TV, an astronomy textbook, and at least 2 15mg tabs of adderall and you should be able to get this thing written in under 12 hours.

some guy hypothesised this already but I forgot his name

in short, yes according to classical physics.

No (sometimes) according to quantum.

I... would just integrate both p(x) and f(x) and divide by 2pi/3

p is a polynomial. Those are relatively easy to integrate.

and for f you even get the integral handed to you. you just have to confirm it by differentiating it.

Science can't explain everything, but if you chose to consider the questions science can't explain you get tarred and feathered and run out of /sci/-town.

Makes me think: Bullets carry relatively little force, but are still highly destructive. How do you quantify that?

Problem with stopping bullets, they will destroy anything they hit. I don't know how much better sloped armour works (which a sword might be used as).
