>I think most people like research grants
A great deal of scientific grant institutions are funded by private donors.

Remember that Obama shut down the manned trips.

RON PAUL SUPPORTS STEM CELL RESEARCH (AND CLONING). READ THIS POST >>4247535

Nirvana fallacy. We don't live in a country where everyone is a logical Vulcan. If we are to have a representative democracy, the views of religious people who don't believe in evolution are going to have some effect, whether I like it or not.

Point to one candidate who will do what you are requesting. If you cannot, then it's a moot issue in regard to voting for Ron Paul.

Freedom will fuck us?

I guess Obama/Romney, NDAA, SOPA, and infinite debt are all much better scenarios that will not fuck us, right?

Sounds more like Romney or Obama.

Ron Paul is the most consistent candidate. His message was the same in the 1980s.

Dr. Paul's message is the antithesis of the genocidal and fascist ideology with which you align yourself. Remember, voters, people like >>4247576 as leaders would be the norm without freedom.

>But I do think that government should have a say in what should be taught in schools. Not absolute power, but an informed say to prevent indoctrination by idiotic and falsified ideas such as biblical creation. Religions should be taught from a historical perspective, and nothing beyond that. Kids should be taught to make up their own mind, but more importantly, they should be taught how to go about making up their minds in the most rigorous way possible.

You didn't even read the full sentence.
>>he stated that he would leave it up to the states
>implying states don't have governments
Right away that disqualifies that Ron Paul would remove government influence from what is taught in schools. He would remove _Federal_ influence, which is a big difference from no influence.

If what you stated is your criteria for good policy, then under RP you can move to a state with those specifications and maybe even more to your liking. Paul will ensure pro-science states have the freedom to teach however much science they wish. If scientists to a good job of spreading their message, it's very likely that all states (not just pro-science ones) will adopt this as their policy. Without Paul or someone like him, you are liable to have militant religious politicians in D.C. dictate as a Federal law what the entire nation must teach. As a science advocate, Paul should be your candidate.

>Paul supports stem-cell research generically, as evidenced by his authoring the Cures Can Be Found Act of 2007 (H.R. 457; H.R. 3444 in 2005), a bill "to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide credits against income tax for qualified stem cell research, the storage of qualified stem cells, and the donation of umbilical cord blood".

Ron Paul also will not restrict the science of human cloning.
>Paul joined with his conservative colleagues in voting "no" on HR 2560, the Democrats' version of a federal ban on human cloning.

>People have been doing it for years before medical science was even established

0/10

Red herring much? I'll bite: It's like you really think baby delivery hasn't changed since medical science was established. Ever heard of a C-section?

You have very fascist views on what thoughts people must have in their heads. Suppose someone does not personally accept some idea as true, despite however much scientific reasoning there may be to support it. Maybe they have their reasons. Maybe they do not. Who cares?

What is relevant to us is whether they intend to restrict our liberties based on that idea. Dr. Paul as President would have no role in deciding what is taught in schools; he stated that he would leave it up to the states. I believe evolution is true, and Ron Paul will protect my right to believe as such.

>And you are mistaken if you believe we think this is the only thing wrong with this guy.
Ah, at last you show your true colors. This attack on him for not believing in evolution is a proxy for your other concerns.

Last I checked, medicine was not evolutionary biology. Not once has Dr. Paul's belief interfered with his successful career wherein he delivered over 4,000 babies.

His position on teaching evolution in schools is to leave it up to the states. It doesn't matter if he believed moot created the universe; it wouldn't affect his policy.
