Yeah, weird way to phrase it; I meant the dude framed the unification of the fundamental forces within a Lie group (E8). He calculated the curvature of the "superconnection" (apparently a word of his own invention to describe a special kind of symmetry breaking) between bosons and fermions, and found it produces a Riemann curvature.

Thanks loads guys. Is his work promising? I've heard mixed responses. Regardless he's quite interesting, don't you think?

Guys -

42 year old here. I've been studying/loved mathematics since I was quite young, maybe 4 or 5. I tested out of it in high school so I could study it independently because I didn't like the way it was taught. Since then, I've dropped out of high school, but I still study math incessantly. When I don't have a book, I'm doing problems in my head.

The reason I dropped out of high school is that I have very severe schizophrenia. This has manifested itself in a variety of ways, but I'm on antipsychotics to dilute the attacks that plague me almost daily. That's neither here nor there I guess.

My question is how do you get something published if you've got no academic credentials? I have something that I know is worthy of publish that may get me a full ride at a decent graduate school. I just have no idea how to go about it.

Tl;dr no academic credentials, how do I get something published?

That's very interesting. What gives things like loop quantum gravity sway over string theory though? Has LQG made any novel predictions that we've found to be true?
