Anyone had experience with this university? I've heard some good things about the one in France, what about this one?

Ahaha.

We call them that in the physics department.

Also - that's bullshit. They're black because of the absence of light. Nigga needs to get out of that university and start selling crack where he belongs.

There's no need to go so fast on the number part.

String theory isn't a science, it's a religion.

Ancientfag. God I remember my friends telling me about this place when I was in highschool. 4chan followed me through university physics... And now I have like a 18 gig folder thanks to /s/.

Good times.

I'm sorry, wasn't there a giant fiasco a little while ago dealing with cold fusion?

McGill definitely is harder. I compared my curriculum to U of Ottawa or Carleton (originally from Ottawa) and their honors course was about the same difficulty as our majors course.

However, the honors course there is fucked up for anyone outside of Quebec. I ended up dropping down to the majors program after a month. I supppose I could have learned Cal III and linear algebra II while taking classical mechanics, but fuck, I wanted to keep my sanity.

UdM is also depressing as fuck.

Unfortunately, not all of us are art majors - not everyone teaches with Powerpoint.

Honestly? I usually had a tape recorder so I could just write down the equations and then add in actual English explanations later. Usually it helped if you pen in the times in the recording that corresponded to your notes.

It was useful for physics. Not so much for math, considering mathematicians hate explaining anything. :/

Ottawafag that just finished at McGill. Had a 80 average in Grade 11 and a 92 average in Grade 12.

They don't look at Grade 11. Relax.

Hmmm, it's explained really well in Griffith's Quantum-mech. Do you have that lying around?

You're missing the point. And most likely trolling *but*:

The main goal was to take non-fissible substances and make it possible to use it in reactors. That's all they did.

Really don't know. I went into Medical Physics myself mostly because it still dealt with nuclear technology but was actually applicable for a job.

No one does nuclear research anymore. Pretty much, people only apply there to get accepted into a grad school then immediately switch to a different specialty.
