To expand upon my previous comment: DiffGeo is used to discover the shape needed for a stealth aircraft.
It has other engineering applications, but stealth tech is what I know about.

You're not wrong about wind and solar producing energy less than half the time,
but the part about storage being "fucking insane" is just tripe.

• short answer : yes
• long answer : a lot of early Math was the result of problems in Physics
and Thermochemistry, so a bit of study would provide a good background.
• even-longer answer : a deep background in any subject is advantageous, but the time, effort, and cost of obtaining it
must be weighed against the potential benefit, and that is a difficult decision to make.

• Euclidean distance between p=1+0i and q=0+1i
• separate real & imaginary components:
[math]p_r=1,~p_i=0;~q_r=0,~q_i=1[/math]
• distance = [math] \displaystyle \sqrt{(p_r-q_r)^2~+~(p_i-q_i)^2}[/math]
• You Can Do This

I like physical books, because I write notes in the margins.
I know it's not difficult to edit a PDF, but it's much quicker and easier to write in the book.

Hers is not a bad proof, except that the two lines
in red (at left) are superfluous, and she should
perhaps display the lines
P(¬B|A) + P(B|A) = 1
P(B|¬A) + P(¬B|¬A) = 1
...as how the second line comes from the first.
