i have to write a paper on the history of science (prescience and evolution), the scientific method, standards for the scientific method in academia, and how the scientific method is applied in different fields.

i really want to write a very good paper (is due Thursday), and wanted to know if any /sci/entists can point me in the direction of some awesome resources :)

simple plan to assure /sci/ dominance:

* organize societal hierarchy based on hunting/gathering, always stay in groups to avoid deaths/injuries, small council of brightest people on /sci/ to plan things as a tribal oligarchy

* engineers of /sci/ start building houses, then fortifications+boobytrapped areas of the island (nothing deadly)

* build a few rafts and send out the most worthless members to explore, after teaching them the stars so they can make their way back

* message to /k/: 'want an alliance? we can promise you finished weapons.' we could have messengers from each meet to see if the respective leaders can hash something out

* find /g/, steal actual /g/urus

* steal girls from other islands by promising food, then putting them in a worker caste, where they will be protected as long as they work just like everyone else (also no non-consensual polygamy you niggers)

* take full advantage of materials on island; possibly develop outposts for rare raw materials (mining will be a bitch, for instance, but if resources are high, metals should be easy to find near the surface)

* normal engineers should keep building infrastructure and transportation, electrical engineers should be working with /g/urus on basic computers

* by now, crops should be planted, and most members should be expected to spend 2 or 3 hours a day working on them (excluding the council, people that are very good at hunting/gathering, artisans, and head-engineers, etc.)
