>I envy americans because you basically do your masters as an undergrad. In Mexico not only is my degree in Math 5 years, but it doesn't prepare me for research.
Kek where did you get that from? Some US mathlets barely take Abstract Algebra by their final year. You get a masters after the first two years of your PhD.

Let`s do it. No reason for us not to. So, /sci/ I trust you to spread the word and help us get started. What is the first step to building a rocket?

I'm not sure if this is related but hypothetically let's say your about to marry a girl but she asks you to get a genetic test to see what your chances are of having good a child with a disability. Do you get pissed off or are you totally cool with it?
Also how realible are genetic tests like say you're 30% likely to have offspring with a mental disorder how accurate is that 30%?

Bros, bros. Calm your tits. So, thoughts are neural patterns. Your brain contains an estimated 100 billion neurons. Each of these neurons can be connected in a complex network to up to 10,000 other neurons, resulting in as many as 1,000 trillion different combinations of connections. The different patterns, of which LITERALLY TRILLIONS ARE POSSIBLE, are what encode your memories, thoughts, and feelings.
How?
This is an important point: WE DON'T REALLY KNOW. That's what science is being done. The mechanism for how this-and-that neuron translates to "The smell of rain on wet pavement" is something we don't fully understand. The ghost in the machine...
But that's what science is for. To search, and test, and understand.

THE HARD WAY. Exercise and better sleep hygiene. Then study. Work hard.

Best advice: don't try to do everything at once. I totally get your feeling- there are so many interesting things out there, you want it all! My best advice would be to pick your favorite thing and stick to it. Work hard in a few areas, and the rest will seem even easier to pick up once you have time to expand. You will have time to get to the other stuff, once you finish the shit that's right in front of you. Two great pieces of advice:
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are"
"How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."

Well shit, I've never taken calculus before either. Calc I is that same semester.

Maybe I'll see where I'm at with Calculus first, then I'll take it next semester. Would Calc I be enough, or should I take Calc II or III before even trying physics?

I just wanted to know if it seemed like synesthesia... I've only talked to a few people about it, and none of them seem to experience the same things.

Hey there, /sci/.

I asked /x/ about this and they told me to come here.

I think I have synesthesia. When I hear sounds, I see bright flashes and shapes of color. It's similar to the visualizations on Windows Media Player, but much more intense. People's voices have colors, songs send me hurtling through brightly colored tunnels where there are random blobs and explosions of bright neon colors, etc..

So, /sci/, would you be so kind as to diagnose me?
