if you take away the rods, then you have removed a continuous grayscale. the cones are an rgb system essentially, so your perception would contain an absolute black and relative white based on whatever the lightest thing in your perceptual field is. But it would be incredibly interesting if you were already in the dark.

there should be a process by which one could differentiate between the signal produced by the rods and cones in your eye. it seems to me thst you could force your perception to rely on only the cones.

speculate on how this might be accomplished.

lol i was etching some circuit boards once with i think muratic acid and inadequate ventilation.

unexpected emission of even relatively small quantities of chlorine gas is an efficient method of pissing everyone off in your place of residence, and its like having cut up onions shoved in your eyes, and your body doesn't even want to inhale around it.

neon actually has a green emission spectra amongst its others, but you'd have to excite it in a very specific way, and it would glow, not just filter incoming light

I'm building a linear amplifier with 3 4-400a tubes, but I haven't got anything near an adequate filament transformer for supplying 5 volts at 14.5 amps X 3 tubes.

My question is, can dynamotors be run in reverse operation? I have a couple that take 5.8 volts DC at 30 some amps and output 420 volts DC at some insignificant current. And it would be easy enough to regulate the DC to 5 volts exactly.

Can I run the filaments off the dynamotors and the dynamotors off 420 volts DC?

if i must...

i thought /sci/ would be more interested in this though, at least as something funny/stupid/dangerous

as long as the wheels don't fall off or the motor blow up I'd try this once.

I used to drive a really shitty chevy sprint, because it got really good mileage but the body on it was so bad... anyways, it got to where it wouldn't run at all because of the carb. so its been sitting around for about a year.

The other day i was telling my friend (who i bought the car from for $1) that i was gonna get it running again, and he said if I did that he would give me a nitrous kit that was good for 100hp to put on it.

This car has a 3 cylinder 1 liter engine and its rated for 42hp@5100rpm and 82hp@5500rpm.

My objective is a scenario where this does not turn the car into a bomb. I think it would be neat to get this car up to like 160mph (since all it will really do is 80 normally)

any thoughts?

pic is a much better looking sprint than mine, which is missing the back hatch and has a hole in the floor behind the drivers seat, etc...

This anon brings up an important point. Depending on ones definition of god, he could exist for one person and not another. Depending on your definition of 'truth' or 'reality' anything may fall into a similar wavy-gravy state.

god is like this thread. He keeps coming back to ask us if he's here. or something.

no one in this thread has a sense of humor

if you don't think it's funny that other people believe in jesus, what do you do? you get all angry and smug.

pic related, what kind of sock puppet are you?
