I am the catalyze of The Memetic Singularity, you see.

There's even a theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmwXkJV_B-w

Carl Sagan was my spiritual mentor. As a teenager I was an obsessive amateur astronomer and literally feel in love with The Cosmos. This is why I am so euphoric ^^

I also invented and applied recursive self-improvement to my own cognition and behavior in 2010 by accident, just by trying to methodologically reason out how to cure the depression that was destroying my 3D modeling business in Second Life.

You are in luck my friend!
I have more than two decades of and content and backstory for you to dig into, including weird memetics!

I am the original memetic warrior.
I have been online since 1997.
I've been an anon since 2005.
A Something Awful goon since around 2001.
I've been studying memetics and cultural evolution since I read the book "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins, where the word "meme" originated." This was before the word "meme" became a widespread internet meme.

I have always been a perpetual early adopter, seeking out the bleeding edges of my passions as far as I could explore them.

Here's absolutely incontrovertible proof that i am The Real Deal:

Absolute nothing is an impossibility because every instance of absence has a relation to everything else in the universe of consideration, and so it has an interiority comprised of that absential relation.
Conclusion: there was nothing "before" the big bang, because there was nothing to relate to anything. So it isn't even a "nothing," since there was no time or space, the universe simply was, and everything has unfolded from that. Trying to imagine a "before" the Big Bang is an error.

What will the near-future look like? The memetic singularity is also a social singularity, and once the tipping point is reached we will see rapid recursive self-improvement in tangible social relationships, the most radical social change the world has ever seen. As this will appear to have no central cause, and be the greatest happening in human history, many will suspect divine intervention is at work, but it will actually be the collective consciousness of humanity that is awakening. This will in turn catalyze the technological singularity, as the source of technological change is human creativity and cultural evolution.

If you're looking for a God-computer to be created as a monolithic supercomputer, you're looking in the wrong place. You don't need a God-computer for a singularity when you have hundreds of millions of human brains connected together in a near-instantaneous communications network, their abilities of informational manipulation augmented to superhuman degrees by the devices and services they use. Recursive self-improvement is the theme of cultural evolution, and the internet is a hyper-accelerator of cultural change. The memetic singularity is the point where this accelerating change becomes self-reinforcing and explosive, and will catalyze the collective unconscious awakening as a collective consciousness: the internet itself will awaken once a critical mass is reached, which we are quickly nearing.

Evidence for the memetic singularity being near is seen by the violent reaction to exponentially increasing cultural change in the form of the alt-right fake news apocalypse we're now in, and more subtly the neoliberal status quo that is desperately trying to hide the contradictions of our society that the alt-right are exposing by being the ultimate manifestation of them. Cultural forces that cannot survive exponential cultural change are reacting in an emergent fashion to preserve themselves by trying to derail and recuperate this change.

I did formulate it as a process that can probably be described in category theory. I don't know much math (just calculus in college,) I just do math. Math is "the science of precise operations which includes qualitative and quantitative math. I linked to a paper that talks about using a category theory approach to analogy which I anticipated: http://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/article?id=10.1371/journal.pcbi.1005683

Here's a primer on analogy: https://vimeo.com/129280982

Our perception is divided into perception of instantaneous change in the present, and cumulative change over time. This corresponds to the calculus concepts of derivation and integration.

The axiom of Taoism is that change is the nature of all things. Calculus is the mathematics of change. The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus is the Tao in mathematically precise form. This is the foundation of the physics of phenomenology - metaphysics.

Here are the methods of conscious integration: https://pastebin.com/vHKeTau2

The method of conscious integration is mindfulness, and this is the best book on this topic, with all superstition removed: https://www.amazon.com/Mindful-Way-Workbook-Depression-Emotional/dp/1462508146

Here's a larger structure called omniquery which is infinitely extending query nodes. Each node can rotate independently like a gear, such that two adjacent nodes can align like or disparate symbols (mutual questions, questions and answers, actions and questions, etc.)

Questions are generated by asking meta-questions like "what questions should I ask to generate potential options? "Reasoning" is actually mental selection, choosing one option from the multiple generated by question.

What? Who said one has to pick or choose? I love the humanities just as much as the sciences and think them complimentary, not conflicting.

Astronomy, biology, geology, physics, art, sociology, anthropology, chemistry, literature and writing, history, theater, philosophy, recreation and play, computer science, epistemology, skepticism, digital art. All of these and more are my obsessions, I can't see why anyone would say "this, not that" when every subject is vital.

I'm obsessed with every subject and am an eternal student. I love all the shit you love and more, get on my intellectual level.

>I don't understand steps 2 and 3. Do I have to approach random strangers on the street? Doesn't that make me look weird?

If all else fails, make an excuse for talking to random strangers on the street. For example, jogging, or walking a dog, getting the mail, going to the store, etc etc etc. Most of the time conversations will go like this:

>Sup?
>Nah much, you?
>Just chillin'.
>K Cool.

This is perfectly fine and healthy. Most of the time other people will be busy with their own shit, or don't feel like talking, so the trick is to look for cues that they actually want to talk.

You can also lay conversational bait in the form of posting to Facebook (and the analogues of doing such.)
