Suppose numbers are finite and are bounded above.
Call this number D.

There is a maximum D.
then <span class="math">D \geq k
for all k.

Choose k to be D+1.

Mathematical induction:
Suppose you have a chain of arguments such that P(1) is true (that the first argument in this chain is true). In this chain if you pick an arbitrary argument at index n, P(n), and it implies P(n+1) then P(k) is true for all <span class="math"> k\in \mathbb{Z}_{+}
Proof:

Suppose an argument in the chain is false, somewhere. (Assume P(k) is true for SOME <span class="math"> k\in \mathbb{Z}_{+}
) We know that because of the well ordering of numbers in the chain of false arguments there is a smallest index W of false arguments. Therefore, because W is the smallest index which is false, P(W-1) must be true (the previous argument to our "smallest" false argument must be true). Also, though, if W is false then the previous argument must also be false. We have a contradiction when we assume P(k) is true for SOME <span class="math"> k\in \mathbb{Z}_{+}
.

P(W-1) is both True and False.

Therefore,

If P(1) is true (the first argument), and we accept that logical deductions can be made from previous arguments, <span class="math">P(n)\Rightarrow P(n+1)
, then P(k) must be true for ALL <span class="math">k\in \mathbb{Z}_{+}
>Free speech does not mean you have to start making people frustrated and angry

I never exactly said that I go around and get in people's faces now did I? I simply drew a silly stick figure with chalk on the sidewalk.

If people get offended, fantastic. That is how I became an Atheist. Taking offense to nonsensical, non-derogatory, indiscriminate speech reveals that there is indeed something illogical going on within that person.

Plus, my personal agenda is trying to make the world uniform (under the premise that any notion of "difference" is just a social facade.)

What do you think about Islam /sci/? At my university I drew Muhammad on the sidewalk and labeled it "Muhammad". It was for Blasphemy day. I hate people telling me that I need to tip-toe around other peoples beliefs. Freedom of speech requires that nothing is sacred. The thing is, I don't specifically dislike Islam any more than any other religion... but I feel that me disliking Islam is somehow worse than me disliking Christianity. (In the eyes of the public, of course.)

Why does Islam have a shield around it? How did this happen?

pick semi related. This is generally what people look like when they tell me I should respect other people's beliefs.

108% on my Linear Algebra mid term. Jelly?

Also, have you learned anything about Vectors?

The class suddenly became easy when I began interpreting everything in terms of vectors and Groups of vectors. I even made a little program using things I learned in class to render a cube on my calculator.

How do living organisms attain new genetic information?

I'm watching a silly video on YouTube made by some creationists who are saying that genetic information cannot be created.

Pic very very loosely related. If the biblical story were to EVER resemble any truth, I'd want it to resemble this one. All hail our hypothetical Alien Creators.

Math classes are so fucking easy. I love being a math major. I feel like I cheated Academia. I get the prestige of a professor by simply mentioning that I am in the higher level courses. In reality, though, the only work required in Mathematics courses are some problems here and there and the very very rare occasion that you might have to memorize something that is too advanced to understand at the present time in class.

The bible as a whole does not have a uniform substance from which Christian peoples can take as a Christian Philosophy. Instead, deluded theologians "cherry pick" as you say the nice passages and base Christianity on these few.

So, then, if the bible doesn't uniformly represent what Christianity believes it is... then whats the point of Christianity? How can something so seemingly Absolute be based on a shallow foundation of cherry picked passages?

inb4 shitstorm and #1 fucking thread on /sci/ for 24 hours.

Judeo-Christian Religion is actually a combination of beliefs and religions from ancient western civlizations which reserves monotheism inspired by the Pharaoh Akhenaten and embraced by Semitic people living in egypt at the time.

The story of Job wasn't even a story about the Christian god anyway. The book was taken from Babylon in the Babylonian Captivity and redacted into the old testament.

Mesopotamians believed that their lives were Random. (they didn't believe in destiny) They believed that they were at the mercy of the gods regardless of how they lead their lives. The book of Job reflects this consistent Mesopotamian belief... also... in the book God uses terminology that mirrors a builder.

Ha-Satan actually means "The Adversary"

Are Oil and Gas companies dedicated to what they sell? I don't believe so. At the heart they are Fuel companies. They want us to suckle on their resources our entire lives. Chained to them by our necessity of finite resources. Neigh, I do not support hydrogen cars.
