How the planets were generated was screwed up in weird ways and there was a bug where they would sometimes spawn overlapping each other even though i added codes for them to never do that and i could never troubleshoot it, It seemed completely random, Also hit testing was extremely buggy and with the spaceship engine some people would get stuck in planets and glitch around and others wouldn't, trying to fix these problems just ran me down and a took a month long break and i finally came and released a half assed sandbox mode version of it.

Ran into an unfixable bug that was retarded and meant i would have to remake the entire engine, so i just finished it as a rough space exploration game, shit sucks.

Thats pretty odd and shouldn't happen, you can also press Z or X to zoom in our out to find the button, but yeah the button is just a placeholder, i'm going to change how to get back to the menu and such later.

Now i don't know what to add, Maybe anti nuke defence systems? that try to shoot the nuke down before it its, It the nuke is hit by one it auto blows up so if you're close it will still be decent.

Or i don't know..

Also should i add methods of delivery, like one that fires you off from a ground portable nuke launcher, or one that fires you from a silo and you get to control it down, or being dropped from a bomber etc?

Just updated a new version, Have aerial detonation now, and no more akward ground not being high enough, also fixed a huge glitch that could have ruined everything but i figured it out and fixed it, it should look a lot better now wiht nukes covering buildings

Yes, the nukes do damage just hitting ground and no buildings, but they score multiplies harder the more buildings are hit, Using a 10 megaton on 1 building will give you far less score then a 10 megaton on 150 buildings, i made sure it was like this, because even if a nuke doesn't hit a building its doing a lot of damage, even if its not damage done to the building.


Current version (pic included)
-Fixed graphical glitch of main nuke explosio happening behind the buildings, not covering them slightly
- Added aerial detonation.

Yes, this is going to be a video game, not an extremely realistic thing, but it will still be slightly realistic, the critical chance thing is to have something else neat and interesting to upgrade when i add gameplay, and picking certain countries like for example america increases nuke damage by 20%, while russia gets a base 40% mirv crit or something like that.

And yes in the newest version i'm working on i added aerial detonation, it looks awesome, although the nuke does slightly less damage if detonated aerially, i'm not sure what kind of damage equation i should add for giving more damage at certain altitudes.

Ah yes, i will tweak gravity a bit, im going to make it so you can upgrade different stats of the ship and such, and refueling is done by shooting the laser at a star.

For gameplay, i might make it so you have a chance to meet random enemies that might be mining, or they might be flying around, or maybe even hunting for you. Everything you do will grant points, you get some points for mining a planet, you get more for killing another ship, etc.

So, you might have seen me post a thread like this a couple times a while ago, well here it is again, i've been real lazy lately and haven't worked on it much at all

Its basically going to be a game, its just a game engine right now with completely random generated space as you go, and its infinite. No planet or star or nebula you find will ever be the same.

I had to make the gravity cut off at the level it does now because its really hard to get into a good fast orbit with other nearby planets pulling you, and it also makes everything lag if i have to calculate the ships momentum after its being pulled by 9 different celestial objects of different mass etc.

What do you mean? you can do lots of cool orbital maneuvers, and the orbiting does not need work, its very easy to get into a stable orbit, it just takes some skill and time, if your having trouble try doing it from farther away and go much slower, keep in mind the scale here, the ship is roughly a few km around, an object that large cant just orbit around a random planet at 15% light speed.
