Because we have yet to find something what is infinite.

There is posibility he will move away from the cliff inifinitely.
But this possibility decrases with number of tries. So it will reach 0 if he goes into infinity.

So when you square-root your equation in step 3, you get 2 possible outcomes:
(4-9/2) = (5-9/2) or -(4-9/2) = -(5-9/2), both are same, and both result in invalid result.

or 2nd option:
(4-9/2) = -(5-9/2) or -(4-9/2) = (5-9/2) which results in -1/2 = -1/2 or 1/2=1/2 respectively. Which is correct.

sqrt(x^2) = x
sqrt(x^2) = -x
Both are correct. Both should be considered when working with equations. Your picture is only considering first one..

Meh. I dont care about that. I want to see shitstorm /sci/ likes to have with statistics and probability problems.

*11 kind of items
You can get one kind multiple times.

There are 11 items. I can buy a box, that will contain one of those items at random with equal probability.
How many boxes should I buy to get 90% chance to get all items.

And for space station, there are not many antenas. Needs more antenas or satelite dishes.

>> No.3402023 [View]

I dont like this.
The scale between the rock and station parts is weird. The rock is too small. It wouldnt even be needed.

I liked the sea one more.

You can try lotery or investment.
Invest like 90% of your assets into 10% of succes with 10x increase of value.
You get probably fucked up, but you have small chance of great gains. Basicaly same as deal with devil

But dont forget, they can be quite overwhelming and hard to use for beginer.

>I expected the IDE to know where to look for them
IDE knows it, but you still need to tell it WHAT libraries to link and what will output be. You dont want GUI library linked to console project or you dont need application entry point for library.
Thats why you need to tell it what kind of project you want. But of course, this can be changed in IDE. Usualy in project settings.

As for makefile, you need to write everything like this yourself.

If you really want to go to the "how shit works" level, then I would recomend comandline compiler and makefiles.

> Isn't that done with #include <...>?
That only copy-pastes content of file into another. You still need to tell compiler where to look for those files and where to take libraries from.

Is it only me or is that piece of rock really small compared to rest of the station?
I mean, was it even needed?

>to have this configuration in easily-edited file
Just to add: But most of the time, they dont go along with IDE. So you should do either makefile or IDE. You cant have both.

>> No.3400061 [View]

This.
There is lot of different configurations with different types of projects. By choosing specific type, this configurations is pre-created for you.

Of course there are possibilities to have this configuration in easily-edited file, which you can copy-paste. Those are makefiles.

It is impossible for both objects to see each other.

So while we are able to tell from each PoW other objects moves 2 times the speed of light.
It is not possible to measure it using our physics cappabilities.

Who knows how much trash will this facility generate.

I think we should dump our waster into that dark and deserted cavern in the right bottom corner.
