Hey /sci/, I found a wall safe. I want to discretely (quietly and without leaving any major marks on the exterior) open this safe. This means no drills or explosives, or anything that would generate large amounts of heat. How would you open this safe?

This is mostly aimed at people who dislike guns.

Thanks for the input, I'll definitely look into steam power.

Pussy faggot? Seriously, what's with the online rage?

And to be slightly more specific: I plan on building a house far away from civilization. I'd like electricity at my house, and not have to be reliant on anyone for it. It's not the cost of electricity that has me looking into self sufficiency.

What about donkey shit? I've got two donkeys that make ~40lbs of shit a day, would that work?

I've never heard of geothermal. Mind telling me a bit about how it works?

I want to be able to have electricity without needing a power company. Hence me saying that I want to be self sufficient.

Farm it? As in let it compost for a while in a container?

It's not very windy out here, and I want to see other options before investing in solar.

I've heard people mention methane/bio gas generators. Is there anything to worry about with these, and do they put out much power?

Oops, added a d at the end of source. My bad.

What does /sci/ recommend for off the grid living?

I'm from /k/, just visiting /sci/. Physics, chemistry, and metallurgy are what make guns work, so wouldn't /k/ and /sci/ go hand in hand?

I wasn't trolling at all, and I banned. I was just having some inter-board relations, and it was going pretty damn well. Maybe the mod doesn't like guns.

I was unaware that my donkeys have seaman pouches. Those damn naval officers had best get back to their state before they're marked AWOL!

>> No.3499029 [View]

So, to keep this /sci/ related, let's discuss the physics behind the mechanical operations of firearms. I know nothing about this, but do any of you know the math that makes them work?

Well, you banned me /sci/. Guess that means I'll just have to try harder to win your love.

Pic unrelated, it's just my favorite donkey.

Nutnfancy has no place in my thread. Mostly because I'm a Hickock45 fan. I like relaxed, non sheepdog reviews.

Browse this site and you'll get a general feel for gun prices.

Oh, and be sure to check the insides for rust, check for shiny bores (shiny bores are good), barrel bulging and pitting, and how intact the rifling is. And be warned, there are a lot of scams and marked up prices at gun shows.

Mosin Nagant, SKS, that's about it. But /k/ typically acts like a bunch of mental midgets when discussing firearms. It's tragic.

What's with all this hate? It's not like I'm a cancerous troll, and guns were built on what /sci/ should be full of, so what's the problem?

I would buy a Mossberg 500 for home defense/hunting. It's an inexpensive and versatile 12 gauge shotgun. And maybe a Hi Point carbine in .40 S&W or .45 Auto

>>3498712
Read above.

And I have NEVER once seen a slamfire happen. Plenty of stories online, but the odds of it happening are slim to none.
