Personally I would like to see the cockpit tightened up a bit with more ergonomic layout to expand on the already solid HOTAS feel and setup for landing, but also make better use of room on both the center console and MFD area.

It would be kickass to consolidate everything into 4 MFDs on the main cluster, add MFDs for the overhead.

Also, add a newer HUD, that thing is tiny and seems to cramp the view.

Also, can anyone link me to a decent explanation of this being true:

if you think you are insane you are not
If you think you are mentaly stable you are not.

Wouldnt the first thing to do be to ask the nurses why you are there, and what you did to get there? If you had a blackout and went crazy, then you might indeed be crazy.

So what happens if I ask for a reason why I am there?

I have about $100 worth of fireworks I couldn't use because fireworks are illegal in Iowa. This doesn't stop the families of the local sheriff department from having a good time with mortars though. Fucking corrupt pigs.

I make my own candy fuel and stuff it into PVC pipe motors for my rockets to save money. Saltpeter as an oxidizer and a mixture of corn syrup/sugar.
using hotplate and a skillet, melt incredients in my driveway, stirring constantly. Heat until crackling, bubbling occurs, bring heat to low for about 20 minutes or until the mixture becomes sticky like silly putty. pour mix into motor casing, packing with a dowel. Allow to dry for a week in my food dehydrator.

The result is FAA regulation breaking high altitude rockets.

My dad works for this school as the principal.

They say they want a "christian world view" but its a technicality.
The dudes need more decent teachers, the pay is good, the housing is cheap here, meaning that you might like it.

And to all you raging /sci/fags, the curriculum contains evolution and not just that, it presents it as a theory, alongside intelligent design. Science curriculum teaches critical and scientific thinking. Check out odysseyware.

now that I am off the phone I should expand.
(without getting metaphysical)
I can predict the outcome of a decision and a chain of events to a very high probability, allowing me to "predict the future." To do so, you must first understand how the future works, and for me, that simple because I was born with the ability.

The past is set it stone, the present is the writing block, the future is an endless realm of possibility.

Let me try to explain how this works visually. You start with 3 choices and choose the one right now. The choice is set in stone, you are now presented 3 more options, with 3 more choices from any of those 3 outcomes, this goes on until you die.

As you can see, this makes the future look like a fractal, or a tree if you will. Now I will explain how some of us can predict the future.

When we asses the situation we take into account everything we know, calculate the next possible outcomes, then the outcomes to any of those outcomes, and continue to do so. What happens is that our very finite brains can only calculate accurately to a few choices out before it becomes almost impossible to go any further.

We then choose the more likely choices the person will make, based on what we know about their character and the way they operate.

One can also predict further into the future less accurately(because of unforeseeable variables) at the cost of not thinking of as many possibilities.

>> No.1334240 [View]

by doing so you would simply start over with a new future that is slightly different from the first.

color will always be a bit less than true because of atmospheric saturation, the many lenses between ccd and light source, and the fact that CCDs are generally not very good at being true to life color.

Nevertheless, you can get some great pictures, and some even greater views with the naked eye from lower end refractors.

>> No.1298782 [View]

>>1298759
oh of course sir, in fact, the best way to get a basic understanding is to get a basic refractor.

What state and city do you live in?
Telescopes are pretty common on craigslist atm
I wish microscopes were the same way.

I would love to, I really would, but I live in the stix now.

This move really made me rethink my already weak beliefs in god.

It's his will for my family to move to Iowa--yet nothing can go right for me here, the entire state is against me.

>> No.1298728 [View]

but seriously guys, out of the ones available on craigslist, which would you buy?

lemme link you to my photobucket with microscope pics

I have a fairly decent 400x scope I got from a college. Two "broken" microscopes later and I have one working one with spare parts.

I was able to see Jupiter and Saturn, the moon. I even got to see the Hail-Bopp comet through that scope. I even started recording sunspot activity(using a reflection off a sheet of paper or welding glass over a spare eyepiece. Several years of this went by, and then we moved.

During the move we stayed in Fresno, CA, where there was no chance of me using it, and it stayed in storage. Once we moved up into the foothills my hobby resumed. 7 years ago we moved to Iowa, and a bulkhead broke loose in transit, crushing my telescope and box (along with almost all of my stuff)

Now I have a bit of money to spend on a new scope and would very much like to get a cheap, yet moderately decent set of scopes. A reflector and refractor.

I care about quality enough not to get a shitty scope, but at the same time I dont need to shell hundreds on one of the more expensive ones, just a decent one for now.

Hey astronanons.
(reported from earlier)
I got two telescopes I can afford on craigslist, and know I want to get a cheaper reflector scope before I blow more money on a decent refractor for photography and watching brighter objects. I want your opinion.

Anyway guys, I hit a wall with the first two, though I am leaning towards the Galaxsee since I think I can replace a mirror and get better clarity out of it.

What do you think?

Story incoming.
