What is the reward of nuclear fusion or our current levels of crude oil use if it is further depleting what sustains not only human life, but all life? Just so we can continue to have our modern conveniences?

I am seriously considering running on the green party ticket for local state representative. And the more evidence I come across, the more I cannot just pretend everything will be fine. Even Steven Hawking, who I vehemently disagree on most subject matters regarding physics, says we have about 200 years to start taking space travel seriously or humanity is capoot.

There is no easy answer on this. I don't side with liberals that somehow abortion and having less kids is somehow magically reducing our "carbon footprint". That's not the point, and it's just sensationalized hype to demonize Christianity and conservative family units.

The issue is far more serious then how many people are shitting on the planet. It's the fact that the earth is changing, and we're not prepared for that change. We're too busy worrying about retirement, going to college, getting laid, and other stupid shit.

And yes, the planet can technically endure anything. It's a motherfucking planet. Nothing short of a blackhole or massive quasar is going to do much at all to it. But that doesn't say anything about the life on it, or the quality of life.

Co2 emissions won't "destroy the planet" literally, but it'll destroy us... humans. It'll destroy many species, and revert all life back to bacteria and insects.

We're not using oil and coal still because it's effective, but because corporate powers are too greedy to switch over. Switching over would cut into profits because renewable energy would make them irrelevant. And that's still a big if. The same way the market crushes piracy to protect intellectual property, because they expect us to purchase shit that can be reproduced for free. I think the disassociating personality disorder might be the best fit. If narcissists exist in a vacuum, then disassociates find it hard to find grounding for their egos.

English is one of the most difficult languages in the world, followed closely by Japanese and Chinese, who basically have three sets of language, depending on social rank, and how you are supposed to speak to them. Korean was easier to learn then how to properly word an English sentence. English has no credibility as a language, with a seemingly random assortment of pronunciation, grammar, and structure. There is no reason whatsoever to eat meat, other then you like it. Then again, you'd probably like crystal meth. Doesn't mean you should do it. Meat is known for one thing, B vitamins. Which you can literally fucking get anywhere. An energy drink has 100% of nearly all B vitamins. The only mineral plants can't reproduce in abundance, is calcium. And this is assuming that

A: You're a vegan, not a vegetarian.
B: You can't afford soy based products in bulk.
and C: That you actually need calcium. You don't. In fact, overt amounts of calcium has been linked to kidney stones.

So it's one thing to say you like meat, and don't want to give it up. That's a perfectly natural response. It's another thing to say meat is good for you. That's an outright LIE. A lie that is costing people their health.

I was discussing space travel with my comrades. (Mostly anarchists, I don't tend to hang around many other communists as most are actually just armchair liberals...) And they thought this was genius, and so I will post here how we could occupy the moon, mars, etc, much faster, and by expending a fraction of the fuel.

We build magnetic space stations. Imagine a huge magnetic plate on the surface of mars, the moon, etc. The space shuttles also have magnetic plates, when they reach close enough, the magnets shall attract, and land itself. This can save on precious fuels, and as we get better at it, we can travel more distance "for free"!

No worries of a "crash". Because the force of the magnetic pulses will even out, creating equally distributed friction.

And we could probably create this space program really cheap. All we need now is a flashy commercial with the hammer&sickle; "PROGRESS!!!" "EXPLORATION!!!" And everyone is smiling, shaking hands, while smoking cigars.
