Sorry, I contradicted myself. I believe that mathematics is the discovery of universal logical truths, and that human logic is congruent with the former.

>> No.3016125 [View]

I'm currently of the opinion that mathematics is the discovery of logical truths. Whether those logical truths are a human construct or universal thruths I am unsure, but so far as we know they are congruent.

Even if there is no genetic differences between blacks and whites, blacks still act like baboons, and should be treated accordingly.

Because he's an intellectual child; he believes that everybody is equal. The very fact that people aren't equal now means that people aren't equal.

They wouldn't be free if they were forced to work.

In Australia we can learn basic differentiation/antidifferentiation and applications thereof in Year 11 (16-17 years old) and differential calculus and integral calculus in Year 12 (17-18 years old), in the 'advanced classes' you can also learn vector calculus and basic differential equations. You can also do 'uni maths' in Year 12 where you obviously do uni maths, that being linear algebra and calc 2/3.

Any textbook is better than KhanAcademy. It's not rigorous, it won't help you truly understand the concepts, so you'll forget them quickly.

Get something like Calculus Made Easy or Calculus by Stewart. If you want something very rigorous pick up Spivak's Calculus.

The concepts of rationality/irrationality are overused and misused in economics.

It is obviously extremely difficult to be rational with you vote, compared to being rationalal with your dollar.

>> No.2976719 [View]

>>2976704
The thing about voting is that it is divorced from actual government decision making, unlike the relationships between paying for a good and receiving it (even in the case of goods that you will only actually receive in the future or good that you consume only a little of at a time) on the free market. To put it another way, it's more difficult to make an educated vote than it is to make an educated purchase (and we are not talking only talking about our first vote or purchase).

Costs don't determine prices. Prices are determined by supply/demand. Even though designer sunglasses may be relatively cheap to make the price isn't because they are in high demand.
