Quant is a quantitative analyst. Nothing to do with quantum mechanics. And basically it's just shit hard equations, and they need people with experience in mathematical research. Physics PhDs can also do it

I have a life, it's just on hold. My friends who have started their PhD say it's far more relaxed than doing the degree here. They have time to do lots. Also outside of term I do plenty of things.
