I have decided to head to Cal Poly Pomona this Fall 2011.

As I read the rejection letter from UCSB I was actually half sad and half happy. mfw

UCSB is a good school and all but I've done my research and from my past threads here Cal Poly Pomona is just more bang for my buck. Almost 90% of undergrads gets jobs after college.

But I still prefer the college life of UCSB. Hopefully the college life will be good in Cal Poly Pomona because of this year all Freshman are required to live in dorms

Hey, it's the OP from yesterday. I unfortunately have been rejected from UCSB waitlist. I called and they said they did not accept anyone off the waitlist this year because of there were simply too many people this year.

I have decided to go to Cal Poly Pomona for EE this year. So any CalPolyfags out there?

Oh man... I hope I can get off the waitlist. UCSB has the academics and the social life. I hear its a great biking university. I love biking so I would be perfect.

If I don't get in I'll have to go to CPP, which I don't mind going but it is not my first choice. It has very good hands on engineering programs, but not much of a college experience

The reason why I would like to go to UCSB. But I know Cal Poly Pomona is also well regarded in Engineering. Many big name companies (Boeing) recruit from CPP

I actually called again and another officer says that she still does not know how the situation will be for waitlist this year

UCSB waitlist decisions come out tomorrow.

The admissions officer I talked to said that this year the waitlist applicants don't look so good. She said that too many people were accepting the UCSB acceptances and there probably aren't any space this year.

I really want to get in UCSB but if I don't get off the waitlist I will have to go to Cal Poly Pomona. So /sci/ please persuade me that CPP is comparable to UCSB. I mean UCSB is a UC afterall.
