I wonder what it's like to have no life outside of bashing biology all day long on /sci/. Maybe I'll try it sometime

Well, the part where it get's interesting is the effects of zero gravity on a developing fetus or even a child. In the show "The Universe" they discussed some experiments they did with rats in space that showed they had a much larger chance of developing serious health conditions and problems with their organs. Also, animals born in space would most likely not be able to survive on Earth. This includes humans.

Statistically, Alcohol is the most harmful drug in America(if not the world). Period!

>Implying it's a good thing to have that much mass

Thought experiment. Imagine yourself standing on a planet with the mass of Jupiter. You're imaginary self should be dead now.

If you are immortal you have as long as you want to figure out how to get money and bitches. Plus, if you go far enough into the future, I'll bet money becomes obsolete.

Did you not read the part he wrote about getting robot legs? plus, who needs legs? fuck legs. As long as my hands/fingers are in good condition I don't give a fuck. I'm a computer nerd/programmer so my legs are basically dead weight already.

this

Also, I believe in the future we'll have our own version of The Matrix except minus the part where we become enslaved by machines. We'll know The Matrix isn't real and we can have everything listed in every option while we're inside it.

Thanks, but after watching this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjPoEZ0I5wQ I decided that it's just a little bit beyond me at the moment. Perhaps I'll come back to it after I make my way to pre-calculus or calculus. For now, I'll just use my calculator.

inb4 OP is a moron...

Yes, I understand about radians... It is standard practice to teach people about radians in day 1 of trigonometry class...

In trigonometry, generally one simply uses a calculator to calculate sin and cosine given an angle. My understanding is that before scientific calculators, people looked up their angles in a chart. Is this how the calculators do it as well?

I find it hard to believe there is not an equation I can use if I don't have a chart or calculator handy. Someone please tell me that I'm wrong and that there is an equation I can use on paper?

So the expansion of the universe is a paranormal event? really... what are you doing here in my /sci/?

>> No.3958341 [View]

No. Where the hell did you get that idea from? Just because we can observe the universe expanding in all directions from earth does not imply we are at the center. How do you keep adding 1 and 1 and getting 3?

That was the extremely simplified version by the way... Since you obviously don't know much about any of the popular theories regarding the origins of the universe as we know it.

>> No.3957883 [View]

>>3957877
Well, the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate thus winning the battle against gravity. That implies that if you rewind time back far enough to when all matter was at the same point in space, and then go back 1 more second there would be nothing.

It's not proof. but it is evidence. Much more evidence than what you have to support the idea of your god

Not all scientists believe in the same theories. And furthermore most scientists don't put 100% faith in anything because they are fucking idiots.
