I just got accepted to U Ottawa for CS co-op. Anyone know if its any good? I might get a cushy government job out of it.

Its fucking bad man. So bad that Francophones are emigrating to Quebec.

If you gave up a seat to an old person on the metro. No merci.
If you crammed yourself into a cart to make room for someone. No merci.
If you held a door for someone. No merci.
If you bought something from someone. No merci
If you didn't let them scam the subway system they would be pissed.

All while acting like they live in the best place on earth and are mounds superior to you for speaking French. It was like the whole country had a superiority complex.

Paris is dogshit and hugely over-rated. Smells like shit too.

I've been around Europe and the Americas (Including France [Capitol & Riviera]) and French people are by far the rudest, most ungrateful people I have ever met.

I want to learn another language. I know Basic French because I'm Canadian, but I despise the French language and its people. What's the most useful/transferable in the first world?

I like the prospect of learning German considering English is based on it.

Also I would be able to understand German porn.

That was the same as me, except I stopped doing the homework as well, and so my ~90 average dropped to ~80 in harder subjects like calculus and ~85% in courses like History, philosophy, English, etc. The reason why I chose CS as my major was because my average stayed over 95% over 3 years without much effort.

Why study CS then? Its just applied logic.

CS is very much about the logic behind programming and solving problems. Moreso than programming. Programming is only the language of CS like Math is only the language of Physics.

Real shocker. Engineers and mathematicians have outdone MD's in their own field. I guess everyone who said Medicine isn't really a science was right.
