yes. i think about this all the time. it sucks, but it could be worse.

i don't see how anyone can say that longevity is bad. there's so much shit to do, and find out and experience. 100 years isnt enough. i realy wish i could live forever. it takes like 10 years to get good at anything too. imagine if we had 1000 years to work at something. we'd be able to do anything.

holy shit this is like my dream job. they are only hiring engineering and web development interns. :(((

if highschools knew anything about math then they would get replace calc/precal and geometry with basic linear algebra, discrete math and probability. they are easier, more accessible and far more useful for almost everyone

1. Big state school
2. cheap. had friends here
3. math with stats concentration

http://www.diveintopython3.net/ if you already have done some programming.

mit ocw 6.00 isnt bad if you havent done any, although it goes kind of slow.

the book on the natural language toolkit is really good too.

look into sage for scientific programming as well

project euler is good for practicing algorithms

'code' is probably the best introduction to architecture and how computers really work, but has nothing to do with python.

most CS programs are vocational garbage filled with object oriented design and other software engineering pseudoscience.

youre better off teaching yourself the cs fundamentals and learning programming on your own while majoring in math, science or engineering.

mostly cleaning, parsing and finding patterns in big data sets that i scrape from the web. then i make pretty graphs with ruby

also my server is written in it

youre not going to get into med school with a 3.6 unless you have a perfect mcat or the type of extra curriculars that you cant switch into on a whim

use a calendar as a crutch to develop discipline until you don't need it anymore. progress is addictive

>> No.4003855 [View]

well, you are going to use tons of statistics in research and you need multivariable calc to do stats.

you only need one pig.

label the buckets from 1 to 999

start timing once he finishes drinking from every bucket at a rate of 33.3 buckets per minute.

as soon as he finishes drinking from the 999th bucket, start a timer that loses an eleventh of a second for every second. stopping the timer upon his death will result in the bucket number.

if he doesnt die, it was the unlabeled bucket

get a calendar. write the shit you want to do for that day and cross off each day once you complete them. once you have a streak going, you won't want to break it. you can only waste time once you've completed each day's work and you can continue a broken streak by making up for lost work.

this niggar was insane. he spent most his life pursuing alchemy and trying to create the philosopher's stone. he used to stick needles in his eyes and look straight at the sun to see how it feels

he probably achieved more in his life than anyone ever and all of his real work was done before he was 26. shit makes no sense
