Make drugs

Get a PHD and then teach as a professor
Get a Bachelor of Education and then teach high school

Use it to go to medschool, pharmacology, toxicology, pathology, anything medicine

Burn it for heat since you won't be able to pay the rent

Why does this happen?

Yes. It is legit.

1/2^-1 = 2^1/1 = 2/1 = 2

So yes.

Because having a 2 on the bottom of a fraction there is like 1/2. Write it out.

1/2 * a/b. What's that equal? 1(a) / 2(b) = a/2b. Right?
So since there's a 2 on the denominator there not touched by the ^3, you can factor it out as 1/2. Try it without factoring out the 2.

>> No.2905174 [View]

>>2905160
That's wrong.

The bottom line is 2(ab)^3.
That means, you cube the a and the b, but you leave the 2 alone. The 2 is a constant, and can be factored out as 1/2. Then, subtract like powers. Then, multiply the end result by 1/2 and you get ab/8.

>> No.2905144 [View]

(2ab)^-2 / 2(ab)^-3

= 1/2 * (2ab)^-2 / (ab)^-3
= 1/2 * (ab)^3 / (2ab)^2
= 1/2 * a^3b^3 / 4a^2b^2
= 1/2 * ab / 4
= 1(ab) / 2(4)
= ab/8

Also, if P = NP, then everybody is equal in terms of computational ability.
Everyone can be Einstein, Mozart, etc

If not, some people have to work harder than others.

Studying.

Grades is all about studying and memorization. The people who get those marks aren't usually the kinds of people who are brilliant at math - most of the time, it's the people who study the most.
It's the people who remember every little thing that they are taught ONLY and apply it to the test EXACTLY the way they learned and no other way - it's those people that get 98-100.

That line of thinking got me from 80-85 in Grade 9-10 to 96-100 in 11 and 12. Reproduce ONLY what you're taught.

The 95-100 bracket is only for those who don't even make little or careless mistakes because they don't ask questions that leaves room for that.

Have you ever noticed that if you practice math, you get better at math?

Just like you can take a derivative of a derivative, try practicing HOW to practice. If your practice gets better, your math gets better, how you retain it gets better, and that'll push you into the 98-100 range.

Well for one, I'm from Canada.

Two, I don't care about fulfilling all the extra-curricular activities they ask for.

The debate team/chess club/retard-volunteer service doesn't ask that I have a 4.0 GPA... Why would a university where I want to study engineering care about what I do outside of my school work that involves engineering?

I typed out the question verbatim. That's ALL the information I have.

There's a table in the back which tells the delta H values for MgO and for CO2, but not for MgCO3. I typed out the entire question.

I said it was my specialty because I knew it'd draw people to my thread because the people here do care about some imaginary educational hierarchy.

I was hoping, though, you'd be able to help me with this chemistry problem.

MgO = -601.7 kJ/mol
CO2 = -393.5 kJ/mol
MgCO3 = ??? kJ/mol

Thanks!

Hey guys. Need some chemistry help (just grade 12/SCH4U)

Use standard enthalpies of formation to calculate the enthalpy changes in each:

1) Magnesium carbonate decomposes when strongly heated.

The sheet with the list of the formation values does not include Magnesium carbonate.

However, it does contain magnesium and oxygen. Also, what does Magnesium Carbonate decompose into? Magnesium, CO2? Magnesium, C, and O2?

Just a tip in the right direction would help.

Pic unrelated - THAT'S my specialty.

For the combustion reaction:

First, balance the equation.
Find the molar mass of butane.
Find how many moles of butane there are.
Use the ratio of moles butane burned to the ratio of moles oxygen burned.
Use the answer you get, and the molar mass of oxygen, to find how much oxygen you need.

If you're really smart, go for a math master or math PHD. You could be a quant, if you do some work with computer science. You'll literally make around 250-500k per year.

>> No.2866455 [View]

You can teach math at high school. That's it, even though you said no teaching.

If you went to the Master/PHD level, you could become a quant or a math professor.

If you combined it with other things, you could do economics, work as a stock broker, financial planner, actuary, stuff in computer science... that sort of stuff.

I guess not all mathematicians are smart. Did you seriously go into a math degree without knowing what jobs you could get? Because you can't get ANY with just a bachelor's degree - unless you wanna teach high school.

No problem.

Don't forget - you can take all the courses AT the university, too.

Except... there, it costs $500 to take Calculus and Vectors, or an equivalent course that COUNTS as your high school course, and it doesn't count toward your major.
It's expensive, but it works, too. Good luck.

Click your city. You can go to actual adult classes here. I do right now, in fact. I've done Advanced Functions, Chemistry, Calculus, English, Politics, and I'm working on Physics 11 and 12 right now.
Classes are only 7 weeks.
If you can get to London, go - they have the best one there.

Then you can also do ILC, if you prefer self-study.
